“네 이웃의 집을 탐내지 말라 네 이웃의 아내나 그의 남종이나 그의 여종이나 그의 소나 그의 나귀나 무릇 네 이웃의 소유를 탐내지 말라” (출애굽기 20:17)

서론 Introduction

프랑스에서 전해져 오는 한 구두쇠의 이야기다. 나이가 든 한 구두쇠에게는 금은보화가 많이 있었다고 한다. 창고에 가득 찬 금은보화를 보고 만지는 낙으로 살았다고 한다. 귀한 보화라서 그냥 두면 안 되겠다 하는 마음이 들어 지하 창고에 더 깊은 굴을 팠다고 한다. 깊이 굴을 파고 거기에 모든 보화를 집어넣었다. 그래서 매일 그곳에 들어가 금은보화를 만지며 기쁨을 만끽했다고 한다. 그러던 어느 날 그 부자가 실종되었다. 사람들이 아무리 찾아도 그를 찾을 수가 없었다. 세월이 지나 그 집이 다른 사람에게 넘어가게 되었다. 새 주인이 들어와 살다가 지하에 있는 포도주 창고에 작은 문을 하나 발견한 것이다. 발견한 그 문을 잡아뜯어 열어보니 그 안에 옛 주인이 금은보화를 움켜쥔 채 죽어 있었다. 그 안에서 문이 자동으로 잠겨 미처 나오지 못한 것이다. 깜빡 잊고 열쇠를 놓고 가서 안에서 나오지 못한 채 죽음을 당하게 된 것이다. 금은보화를 너무 사랑해 사리분별을 하지 못하고 눈이 멀어 벌어진 일이다. 

1. 제 10 계명의 의미 The Meaning of the Tenth Commandment

(1) 탐심의 의미 The meaning of covetousness

출 Exodus 20:17, 얍 James 1:14 

오늘 말씀은 아주 중요한 내용이다. 열 가지 계명 중에 제일 마지막에 하나님이 주신 말씀이다. 마지막으로 주신 말씀인 만큼 그 의미와 중요성을 잘 알아야겠다. 말씀을 보면 한 구절에 "탐하지 말라" 라는 말이 두 번이나 나온다. 처음에는 "이웃의 집을 탐하지 말라" 하시고 두 번째는 "이웃의 소유를 탐하지 말라" 하신다. 내용을 자세하게 설명하시면서 마지막 계명을 마치신다. 열 번째 계명을 여덟번째 계명인 “도둑질하지 말라” 하는 계명과 비슷하다고 생각할 수 있다. 도둑질은 실제로 액션을 취하는 것이고 탐하는 것은 생각과 마음으로 하는 것이다. "탐하다" 의 원어를 보면 "하마드" 라는 단어가 사용되었다. 이 단어는 전혀 다른 의미를 가진 두 가지 뜻이 있다. 이기적인 욕심, 과한 욕심이라는 의미가 있는 동시에 하마드의 원래 의미인 대단히 좋아하다, 기뻐하다, 사모하다는 뜻도 있다. 이 두 가지 의미를 가진 단어가 “하마드” 이다. 우리가 어떤 좋은 물건을 보면 나도 가지고 싶다는 생각을 한다. 만약 내가 가지지 못한 그 물건을 다른 사람이 가졌다면, 단순히 가지고 싶다는 생각이 탐나는 마음으로 발전하기도 한다. 같은 단어에 다른 두 가지 의미가 있는 것 자체가 우리에게 탐심에는 깊은 의미가 있다는 것을 보여주는 것이다. 너희들 눈에 보이는 그 좋은 것을 탐내면 안된다 하시는 것이다. 구체적인 첫번째 예로 이웃의 집을 탐내지 말라고 하신다. 이웃의 집에 사용된 원어를 보면 건물만 의미 하는것이 아니다. 그 집, 즉 가족이나 공동체 자체를 의미하기도 한다. 이웃의 가문을 탐내지 말라는 것은 옆집이 잘 되고 화목한 모습을 보고 시기하거나 질투하지 말라는 말이다. 두 번째로 이웃의 아내나 남종이나 여종, 가축 등을 탐내지 말라고 하신다. 남이 가진 소유물이 너무 좋아 보이는 것이다. 옆집 남종과 여종이 내가 보기에 너무 똑똑하고 일도 잘해 보인다. ‘나도 저런 종이 있었으면, 우리 집에 데려갔으면’ 하는 마음으로 탐하는 것도 죄라는 말씀이다. 로마서 7:7에 구체적으로 이 계명에 대한 정확한 답을 주고있다, “그런즉 우리가 무슨 말을하리요? 율법이 죄냐 그럴 수 없느니라. 율법으로 말미암지 않고는 내가 죄를 알지 못하였으니 곧 율법이 탐내지 말라 하지 아니하였더라면 내가 탐심을 알지 못하였으리라”. 간단히 말하면, 탐내는 마음이 죄인지 몰랐다고 사도 바울이 말하는 것이다. 내가 실제로 남의 물건을 훔치거나 한 적이 없으니 생각 만으로 범죄 하는것인지 몰랐다 하는 것이다. 그러나 하나님은 남의 것을 탐내는 그 자체도 죄라고 하신다. 상당히 깊은 의미를 우리에게 던져주고 있는 것이다. 

(2) 탐심의 시작 The start of covetousness

창 Genesis 3:5-6, 요 John 8:44, 롬 Romans 7:7 

그렇다면 이것이 무엇에서 비롯되었는지 그 시작을 보아야겠다. 열 번째 계명은 모든 계명들의 결론이기 때문이다. 모든 죄의 원인이 바로 이 "탐심" 에서 시작된 것이다. 하나님께서 특별히 하지 말라고 하신 이유는, 이것이 바로 사탄이 인간을 멸망시킬 때 사용하는 전략이기 때문이다. 창세기 3:5에 아담과 하와를 무너뜨리는 데에 사탄이 이 탐심을 이용했다. "너희가 그것을 먹는 날에는 너희 눈이 밝아져 하나님과 같이 되어 선악을 알 줄 하나님이 아심이니라". 탐심을 심으니 3:6에 당장 그에 대한 반응이 나왔다, " 여자가 그 나무를 본즉 먹음직도 하고 보암직도 하고 지혜롭게 할 만큼 탐스럽기도 한 나무인지라 여자가 그 열매를 따먹고 자기와 함께 있는 남편에게도 주매 그도 먹은지라". 아담과 하와에게 탐심을 심으니 그들이 너무나도 쉽게 무너진 것이다. 우리 인간이 가진 것 중에 가장 약한 것이 바로 이 탐심이다. 인간이 마귀의 종이 된 원인이 바로 이 탐심에서 비롯된 것이다. 요한복음 8:44, "너희는 너희 아비 마귀에게서 났으니 너희 아비의 욕심대로 너희도 행하고자 하느니라". 여기에 분명 "너희 아비의 욕심" 에서 모든것이 시작되었다 하는 것이다. 사 14:14, "가장 높은 구름에 올라 지극히 높은 자와 비기리라 하도다" 사탄의 타락의 원인도 스스로 높아지려는 이 탐심에서 시작된 것이다. 모든 근원이 바로 이 탐심인 것이다. 

2. 제 10 계명의 중요성 The importance of the Tenth Commandment

(1) 탐심은 우상숭배 Covetousness is idolatry

골 Colossians 3:5 

골로새서 3;5 에 보면 탐심은 우상숭배라고 나와있다. "그러므로 땅에 있는 지체를 죽이라 곧 음란과 부정과 사욕과 악한 정욕과 탐심이니 탐심은 우상 숭배니라" 탐심 그 자체가 우상숭배 라는 말씀이다. 우상은 인간이 만든 것이다. 자기의 영광을 채우기 위해 "탐심" 에서 비롯된 마음이다. 가나안의 신들을 보면 우리가 쉽게 알 수 있다. 여기에는 바알신, 아세라신이 있다. 바알은 비와 폭풍의 신이었다. 농사를 잘 짓게 하고 풍요를 위해서 이런 신을 만들어 섬겼다. 또 아세라는 다산의 신이었다. 당시 세력을 키우기 위해서는 자식을 많이 낳아야 했다. 이러한 것들을 스스로 이룰 수 없으니 자기의 목적과 동기를 충족할 신을 만들어 우상으로 섬긴 것이다. 참 이상한 일이다. 그들은 이런 마음으로 우상을 만들어 절했을 뿐인데 거기에 사탄이 역사하는 것이다. 그저 자기 영광과 목적을 위해 세운 우상일 뿐인데 그곳에 흑암이 역사하는 것이다. 에베소서 2:2 " 그 때에 너희가 그 가운데서 행하여 이 세상 풍속을 좇고 공중의 권세 잡은 자를 따랐으니 곧 지금 불순종의 아들들 가운데서 역사하는 영이라". 불신자들이 섬기는 우상을 통해 그들의 주인의 역할을 한다는 말씀이다. 탐심으로 비롯되어 만든 우상을 통해 사탄이 그 자리에 앉아 예배의 주인 행세를 하는 것이다. 이렇듯 탐심은 우상숭배와 직결되어 있다. 우상을 옆에 두고 섬기지 말라, 하나님이 기뻐하지 않으신다고 분명히 제1계명에 나와 있다. 그런데 열 번째 계명에 다시 한 번 탐심을 가지지 말라, 그것이 우상숭배라고 한다. 이런식으로 모든 계명이 다 연결 되어 있음을 다시 한번 강조 한 것이다. 탐심 그 자체가 곧 우상이라는 말씀이다. 바로 이 탐심이 모든 악의 뿌리가 된다는 말씀인 것이다. 탐하는 것을 우리는 가벼히 여기는데, 이런 이유로 탐하지 말라고 두번이나 말씀하신 것이다. 우리가 가볍게 여기는 작은 탐심을 통해 크나큰 문제가 생길 수 있다는 것을 우리가 영적인 눈을 뜨고 보아야겠다. 

(2) 믿음 치유 Healing of faith

딤전 1 Timothy 6:10, 눅 Luke 12:15, 엡 Ephesians 5:5, 갈 Galatians 5:24, 2:20

그렇다면 이 탐심에서 어떻게 빠져나오는가? 딤전 6:10, "돈을 사랑함이 일만 악의 뿌리가 되나니 이것을 탐내는 자들은 미혹을 받아 믿음에서 떠나 많은 근심으로써 자기를 찔렀도다". 돈을 예배 대상으로 보고 사랑하는 모습이다. 예화를 통해 프랑스의 구두쇠에 대해 설명해 드렸다. 돈이 중요하지, 하나님 나라의 것이 뭐가 중요하냐 하는 자세로 세상 많은 사람들이 살아가고 있다. 우리 렘넌트들은 누가복음 12:22 말씀 꼭 붙잡으시라. "그들에게 이르시되 삼가 모든 탐심을 물리치라 사람의 생명이 그 소유의 넉넉한 데 있지 아니하니라 하시고". 절대로 우리 생명이 돈에 의해 결정되지 않는다. 정말 꼭 붙잡으시라. 여러분의 생각을 바꾸시기 바란다. 아무리 부자도 밥 세 끼 먹고, 아무리 가난해도 밥 세 끼 먹으며 산다. 그 말은 하나님 눈에는 다 똑같다는 말이다. 무엇이 가장 중요한가? "생명" 을 소유하는 것이 가장 중요하다. 이번에 오클라호마 가서 잠깐 이야기했다. 옛날에 전도 했던 이야기를 했다. 모든 세상 사람들은 죽을 때 죽음의 사자가 찾아온다. 믿지 않는 사람들도 죽을때 죽음의 사자가 찾아온다는 말은 믿는다. 죽음의 사자, 저승사자가 찾아오는 사람은 믿지 않는 사람으로 그 저승사자의 주인인 사탄에게 가는것이다. 그러나 생명이 있는 사람들에게는 천사가 찾아온다. 세상의 그 어떤것도 이 두 가지를 결정짓는 참된 “생명” 을 소유 것보다 것 보다 중요한것은 없다. 돈은 전혀 중요하지 않다.

에베소서 5:5, "너희도 정녕 이것을 알거니와 음행하는 자나 더러운 자나 탐하는 자 곧 우상 숭배자는 다 그리스도와 하나님의 나라에서 기업을 얻지 못하리니." 많은 세상 사람들이 음행에 빠져 있다. 더러운 짓들을 하고 산다. 별짓을 다 하면서 그 속에서 육신의 행복과 쾌락을 찾아산다. 오클라호마에 가는 길에 큰 카지노가 있다. 거기 목사님이 한 번 들어가 봤는데 거기 앉은 모든 사람들이 좀비처럼 흐린 눈빛으로 그저 돈에 혈안이 되어 있는 모습을 보았다고 한다. 수많은 사람들이 돈이나 쾌락을 행복으로 착각하고 쫓아 산다. 참 행복은 하나님의 나라의 것에 있다는 사실이다. 이 사실을 꼭 붙잡고 승리하시기를 바란다. 갈 5:24 에 사도바울이 이야기한다, "그리스도 예수의 사람들은 육체와 함께 그 정욕과 탐심을 십자가에 못 박았느니라". 예수 믿는 사람들은 바로 이러하여야 된다는 말씀이다. 우리의 삶의 방향은 달라야 한다. 그리스도와 하나님의 나라에 초점을 맞추어야 한다는 말이다. 그 이유가 갈 2:20에 나와 있다. "내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔나니 그런즉 이제는 내가 사는 것이 아니요 오직 내 안에 그리스도께서 사시는 것이라 이제 내가 육체 가운데 사는 것은 나를 사랑하사 나를 위하여 자기 자신을 버리신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음 안에서 사는 것이라" 나는 죽었고 이제 내가 사는 이유는 오직 그리스도 영광을 위해서 라는 말이다. 오직 그리스도만 붙잡으시라. 여기에 모든 보화와 축복이 다 들어있다. 그렇게 될 때 예수님께서 여러분의 삶을 완벽히 인도 하실줄 믿는다. 

3. 3가지 길 Three ways

(1) 근본적인 길 The fundamental path

행 Acts 1:1 

그렇다면 우리가 "근본적인 길"을 찾아야겠다. 의사 누가가 사도행전을 쓴 이유가 행1:1에 나와있다,  "데오빌로여 내가 먼저 쓴 글에는 무릇 예수께서 행하시며 가르치시기를 시작하심부터". 하나님의 아들께서 이 땅에 오셔서 우리 죄 문제를 해결하시기 위해 친히 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가시고 그 문제를 완전히 해결하셨다는 것을 기록한 것이 누가복음이다. 근본을 회복하는 것은 바로 그리스도를 붙잡는 것이다. 우리가 이것을 붙잡게 될 때 하나님께서 여러분을 완벽하게 인도하실 것이다. 

(2) 누리는 길 The path to enjoyment

행 Acts 2:3 

우리가 누릴것은 사도행전 2:3이다, "마치 불의 혀처럼 갈라지는 것들이 그들에게 보여 각 사람 위에 하나씩 임하여 있더니" 우리에게는 이미 성령이 임했다. 성령의 충만함을 누리는 삶을 살아야겠다. 거기에 모든 축복, 모든 능력이 다 있기 때문이다. 보좌의 놀라운 능력의 역사가 가는 곳마다 임할 것이다. 

(3) 전하는 길 The path to relay the message

행 Acts 2:4 

그 다음에 우리는 "전하는 길" 을 가야겠다. 행2:4, "그들이 다 성령의 충만함을 받고 성령이 말하게 하심을 따라 다른 언어들로 말하기를 시작하니라". 성령 충만한 이들은 하나님이 성령으로 인도하신다. 창세 전에 여러분을 통하여 작정하신 길로 인도하시고 그 길에 큰 축복의 역사가 여러분 가는 길에 일어나게 하실 것이다. 

Conclusion

빌 Philippians 3:8 

말씀 맺겠다. 빌 3:8, "또한 모든 것을 해로 여김은 내 주 그리스도 예수를 아는 지식이 가장 고상하기 때문이라 내가 그를 위하여 모든 것을 잃어버리고 배설물로 여김은 그리스도를 얻고 그 안에서 발견되려 함이니라". 모든 물질의 탐심, 신분의 탐심까지도 버리고 오직 그리스도를 붙잡으시라. 그것들은 전부 안개에 지나지 않는다. 그리스도를 알고 오직 그리스도 붙잡게 될 때 하나님께서는 여러분의 모든 길 인도 하실 것이다. 말씀 통하여 큰 응답 받는 여러분 되시기를 예수 그리스도 이름으로 축원한다.

You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.

Introduction

In France, there is a famous story about an old rich man who had a lot of wealth and he had a warehouse full of gold. And this rich man would look and touch his gold and it would make him very happy. The rich man thought that he was going to hide all of his gold and wealth underground in a tunnel and every single day, he would visit the underground to touch and look at his gold and be very pleased. But one day, this old man went missing and whenever people searched everywhere but couldn’t find him. After some time passed, no one could find this old man so they sold his house. But one day, this person found a door to underground in the wine cellar and when he opened the door, the old man was dead holding onto his gold and silver. What happened was that the door closes automatically and this old man went underground without his key so he became locked in. No one was Abel to find him so this old man ended up dying. This rich man loved his gold and silver so much that he would visit his gold every single and forgot the key. Today’s sermon is about not coveting. This message is a very important message. This message is the last commandment that God gave to us, the 10th commandment which means that since it is the last, it is the most important. 

1. The Meaning of the Tenth Commandment

(1) The meaning of covetousness

Verse 17 - But today’s Biblical passage says not to covet twice in the scripture. First, it says not to covet your neighbor’s house and then not to covet anything that belongs to your neighbor. God was very specific about this 10th commandment. You Amy think that this commandment is the same as the eighth commandment because the eighth commandment says not to steal so coveting and stealing may seem like the same thing. When you steal something, you take an action but in the 10 commandment, it is speaking about your thoughts and what is your heart. Why did God give us the 10th commandment? The word covet in Hebrew is "chamad." There are two meanings in "Chamad", the first meaning is when you have greed and selfish greed. But the original meaning of covet was not greed. The original meaning of covet in Hebrew was “to look very good.” But these two meanings share the same meaning in Hebrew. This is very interesting. When you look at something nice, you have a lot of happiness just looking at something nice. But when something nice is not yours, you think to yourself that you wish that it was yours. When you have the thought and heart that you want something, you start developing covertness for that thing. They share the same meaning and God is telling us not covet. When you see something nice, don’t covet what is not yours. God tells us not to covet your neighbor’s house. This is not simply talking about a building but this house represents the world and community around you. When your neighbor seems to be doing well and have nice things, don’t covet those things. Secondly, God tells us not to covet what belongs to your neighbor, their wife, their servants, donkey, ox, or anything else that belongs to them. You see that your neighbor has nice servants and wish that those servants belong to you. God is telling us having covertness towards those things, you are committing a sin. 

(2) The start of covetousness

Romans 7:7 “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, ‘You shall not covet.’ ” - Paul is saying that covetousness is envying the things of your neighbors but that is sin. But many people don’t know just envying the things of your neighbor is a sin because they are not physically stealing something from a person. God is saying that just coveting and envying the thing of your neighbors is a sin. We may do this all the time without us knowing. The 10th commandment is the conclusion of the 10 commandments. If you look at all of the commandments, what is causing you to sin and why God gave us the 10 commandments because of our covetousness. 

This was how Satan deceived mankind in the beginning, it was with covetousness as seen in Genesis 3:5-6 “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.”

By imprinting covetousness into the minds and heart of Adam and Eve, the result of that is shown in Genesis 3:6 - Since Satan imprinted covetousness into Adam and Eve, it was so easy for Adam and Eve to break down. The easiest way to break down mankind is through covetousness. The start of the fall of Satan started with covetousness as well. 

John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” - Covetousness started with our father, Satan. How did covetousness start? 

Isaiah 14:14 “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.” - The reason why Satan was judged was because he coveted the glory of God. Everything started from covetousness. 

2. The importance of the Tenth Commandment

(1) Covetousness is idolatry

Colossians 3:5 “Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” - Covetousness is idolatry. Why is that? When you worship idols, man made idols. In order to fill their empty hearts, man made idols. Many people in the Bible worshipped many idols and they would worship these gods to give them good crops and harvest. And they would worship idols to give them fertility and to raise many children in order to become powerful. In order to fulfill their greed, they would worship these idols. Since things weren’t going their ways with their physical abilities, they would worship these idols. They would worship these idols but they wouldn’t know that darkness was at work. In order to fulfill their greed, they would worship idols but this would cause darkness to work. 

Ephesians 2:2 “In which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.” - Through what the nonbelievers serve, Satan acts like their master. These idols were created through greed, and Satan would use this to show that he is the master over their lives and teach them idol worship. Since they would worship idols, Satan would be at work. That is why covetousness is an idolatry. That is why the first commandment tells us not to worship any idols. The 10th commandment commands us not to covet because coveting is idol worship. That is why idol worship and covetousness is the same thing. This makes all of the 10 commandments connected all together. Covertness is the root of all evil. That is why God commands us not to covet and emphasizes us not covet, and said that twice. Covetousness may seem very simple but can cause very dangerous problems. We must open our spiritual eyes to this. 

(2) Healing of faith

1 Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” - To love money means to idolize money as your god. Just like how I spoke in the introduction, this rich man loved his gold and wealth. He didn’t care about God or the church, and only loved his gold and wealth. The people of this world are like this and cannot come out of their greed for money. 

Our remnants must hold onto Luke 12:15 “And He said to them, ‘Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.’ ” - Your life is not determined by money. You must hold onto this fact. You must change your thoughts. No matter how wealthy you are, you have to eat three meals and you have to wear the same clothes as everyone else. God sees you no different no matter how wealthy you are. Life is more important. During the VBS in Oklahoma, I spoke about the times when I evangelized. When all people die, they all confessed that the angel of death came to them. No matter who you are, the angel of death will come to you. When the angel of death comes to you when you die, that means that you don’t have life. When the angel of death comes to you, then that means that you are going to Satan. Those who have life, the angel of life will come to you. This is the most important, nothing else is important. Life is most important, not money. 

Ephesians 5:5 “For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.” - Many people have fallen into so much sin and greed. They find only physical pleasures in life and only chase after these things. There was a pastor who went to a casino in Oklahoma and they all looked like zombies. They all looked like zombies chasing after only money. But many people are lost in this way. They have no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. There are so many people who try to find happiness in this world but they cannot find it. True happiness comes from God and the kingdom of God alone. Remnants you must understand this and have victory.

Galatians 5:24, 2:20 “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” - We who are Christians, all of your covetousness, passions, and desires have been crucified on the cross with Christ. Our direction is different. Our direction is towards Christ and the kingdom of God. Why is that? 

Galatians 2:20 - We no longer exist and we only live for the glory of God. Hold onto Christ alone. All of the knowledge and treasures are found within Christ. All blessings are found within Christ. 

3. Three Ways

(1) The fundamental path

The reason why physician Luke wrote the book of Acts is seen in Acts 1:1 “The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach.” - The Son of God came down to Earth to die on the cross and to solve all of our problems once and for all. Solving all of our fundamental problems was the work of Christ. 

(2) The path to enjoyment

Acts 2:3 “Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.” - The Holy Spirit is within us. We are filled with the Holy Spirit and we must enjoy that. All power and blessings are within this. 

(3) The path to relay the message

Acts 2:4 “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” - Through the Holy Spirit, God will guide us. God will guide us towards the path of creation of this world. May we enjoy these blessings. 

Conclusion

Hold onto Philippians 3:8 “Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.” - Discard all of your covetousness and hold onto only Christ. This is not something that we should do lightly. If we hold onto Christ, then God will guide and protect us for the rest of our lives. May we receive great blessings within our lives.
