“제 4계명”

“안식일을 기억하여 거룩하게 지키라 9 엿새 동안은 힘써 네 모든 일을 행할 것이나 10 일곱째 날은 네 하나님 여호와의 안식일인즉 너나 네 아들이나 네 딸이나 네 남종이나 네 여종이나 네 가축이나 네 문안에 머무는 객이라도 아무 일도 하지 말라 11 이는 엿새 동안에 나 여호와가 하늘과 땅과 바다와 그 가운데 모든 것을 만들고 일곱째 날에 쉬었음이라 그러므로 나 여호와가 안식일을 복되게 하여 그 날을 거룩하게 하였느니라.”

서론

링컨 대통령은 아주 믿음이 좋은 사람이었다. 그분이 아주 중요한 말씀을 하셨다. 미국에 있는 남녀는 하나님께 성경과 교회와 안식일을 진정으로 존중하지 않는 사람이 없기를 바랍니다. 만약 이것이 쇠퇴한다는 것은 국가가 쇠퇴한다는 뜻일 것이라고 했다. 이 말 그대로 이루어지는 것 같다. 미국에 많은 국민들이 안식일을 가볍게 여겨 국가가 쇠퇴하게 되었다. 지금 이 상태를 보면 앞으로 얼마나 더 갈까 할 정도로 극심히 악해져 가고 있다. 이것은 국가만을 이야기하는 것이 아니다. 개인도 그러하고 가정도 그러하고 예배를 소홀히 여기게 되면 반드시 실패가 따라온다. 우리가 주일을 지키고 예배를 귀중히 여긴다는 것은 귀중한 축복임을 다시 한 번 붙잡게 되기를 바란다. 내가 성공하느냐 실패하느냐는 나의 직업에 달린 것이 아니라 예배 성공 여부에 달려 있다. 

1. 안식일을 지켜라 Keep the Sabbath

(1) 안식일을 기억하라 Remember the Sabbath

출 Exodus 20:8

창 Genesis 1:27

오늘 하나님께서 아주 귀중한 말씀을 주셨다. 8절을 보면, "안식일을 기억하여 거룩하게 지키라"라고 되어 있다. 자녀라면 반드시 이 말씀을 붙잡아야 한다. 이 말씀을 자세히 분석해서 붙잡아야겠다. 안식일을 기억하라고 했다. 안식일은 여호와를 믿는 우리에게 주시는 아주 독특한 날이다. 일반 종교는 보통 해당 종교 지도자의 생일이라든지 그 종교가 세워진 날을 기념한다.  그래서 일년에 하루 정도 기념하는 날로 정해 그 날에 쉬기도 한다. 그런데 성경을 보면 6일 동안 일하고 하루는 쉬라고 한다. 기독교만이 유일하게 이런 구조를 가지고 있다. 다른 종교에는 안식일을 지키라는, 쉬라는 법이 없다. 왜 그러하냐면 그 종교들에는 창조의 법칙이 없기 때문이다. 이 말씀을 하신 분이 바로 창조주 되시기 때문에 이러한 계명을 주실 수가 있다. 그러면서 하신 말씀이 "안식일을 기억하여". 여기서 "기억" 에 아주 중요한 의미가 있다. 히브리 원어로 "자카르" 라는 단어가 사용되었는데, 이는 기억하다, 마음에 품다, 남자가 되다 등의 뜻이 있다. 이 단어가 창세기 1:27에 "남자와 여자를 창조하시고" 라는 구절에서 "남자" 를 설명할 때도 사용되었다. 그렇다면 왜 이것이 중요한가? 남자, 인간을 창조하신 여호와를 기억하고 그 창조를 마음에 품으라 하는 의미다. 안식일을 기억하라는 말은 우주 만물 창조하신 하나님을 마음에 품으며 그날을 잊지 말아라 하는 의미가 있는 것이다. 그 날을 또 거룩하게 지키라고 했다. 거룩이라는 단어가 구약에만 38번 나온다. 구별되다, 성스럽게 하다라는 의미를 가진 단어다. 지금 이 말을 하나님의 백성에게 하시는 것이다. 거룩하게 지키라는 말은 하나님의 형상이 회복된 자로 그 축복을 누리는 삶을 살아라 하는 말씀이다. 그러니까 거룩하라는 말은 하나님 자녀답게 살라는 뜻이다. 사단의 종, 마귀의 종처럼 살지 말고 자녀답게, 하나님의 형상을 회복한 모습대로 살라는 말이다. 거룩하게 지키라고 했다. 여기서 "지키다" 라는 말에 샤마르라는 단어가 사용되었는데, 듣고 지키는 의미다. 안식일을 사모하는 마음으로 듣고 붙잡고 지키라는 의미이다. 계명의 말씀들은 치유의 말씀이라고 전에 설명했다. 이 안식일의 의미를 붙들고 마음, 뜻, 온 힘 다해 하나님의 말씀을 붙들면 모든 것이 치유가 될 것이라고 약속하시는 말씀이다. 여러분들이 예배를 드릴 때 마음을 다하여 창조주 하나님을 바라보며 드린다면 모든 것이 치유될 줄을 믿는다.

(2) 엿새는 힘써 일하고 Six days you shall labor and do all your work

출 Exodus 20:9

마 Matthew 11:28, 12:5-6

"또 안식일에 제사장들이 성전 안에서 안식을 범하여도 죄가 없음을 너희가 율법에서 읽지 못하였느냐 6 내가 너희에게 이르노니 성전보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있느니라" (마 12:5-6). 예수님께서 안식일에 대해 바리새인들이 공격하시는 것을 보고, 율법에는 제사장들이 안식일에도 일을 하였는데 그것이 죄가 아니지 않느냐고 하시는 것이다. 제사장들은 안식일에도 불구하고 일을 했고 거기에는 죄가 없었다고 설명한 것이다. 거기에 더하여 " 내가 너희에게 이르노니 성전보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있느니라" 말씀하신다. 왜 이러한 말씀을 하셨는가? 성전보다 더 큰 예수님과 함께 있다면 일을 해도 죄가 아니라고 말씀하시는 것이다. 중요한 말씀을 지금 하고 계시는 것이다. 지금 바리새인들은 안식일에 일을 했냐 안 했냐 이것만 따지고 있는 것이다. 그런데 예수님은 완전히 다른 방향을 말씀하고 계신다. 무엇을 했느냐 안 했느냐가 중요한 것이 아니라 "지금 내가 어디에 있느냐" 가 중요한 것이라고 말씀한 것이다. 예수님과 함께하는 것 그 자체가 안식일을 지키는 것이라고 말씀하시는 것이다. 참 안식은 안식일을 지키는 여부가 아닌 당신과 함께 있느냐 아니냐로 결정되는 것이라고 말씀하시는 것이다. 그렇다면 안식일을 지키는 여부보다 하나님 앞에 나와 도와주세요. 도움을 구하는 자세를 갖는 것이 더 중요한 것이다. 

2. 안식과 창조의 원리 The Sabbath and the Principle of Creation

(1) 안식의 원리

출 Exodus 20:10

엡 Ephesians 1:23

10절에는 더 중요한 말씀 하고 계신다, "일곱째 날은 네 하나님 여호와의 안식일인즉 너나 네 아들이나 네 딸이나 네 남종이나 네 여종이나 네 가축이나 네 문안에 머무는 객이라도 아무 일도 하지 말라". 여기는 안식일을 지키는 중요한 원리에 대해 설명하는 것이다. 이 말씀을 보면, 개인이 아닌 집안 단위로 말씀하신다. 그 집안에 가축이나 방문한 손님까지도 안식일을 지키라고 하신 것이다. 안식일을 개인이 아닌 가정, 민족의 단위로 지키라고 말씀하시는 것이다. 모두 한꺼번에 안식일을 지키라고 설명하신다. 공동체 의식을 알려 주신 것이다. 왜 이렇게 말씀하셨는가? 신약에서 이 구조가 교회로 바뀐다. 교회를 통해 같이 안식일을 지키는 모습을 설명한다. 교회에 소속된 모두가 함께 안식일의 축복을 누려야 한다고 설명하는 것이다. 이를 통해 교회의 축복을 이루시고 치유하시는 것을 보여주신다. 엡 1:23, "교회는 그의 몸이니 만물 안에서 만물을 충만하게 하시는 이의 충만함이니라." 교회는 주님과 한몸으로 그 한몸의 축복을 누리는 곳이라는 말이다. 이 교회에 소속된 것이 얼마나 중요한지 모른다. 하나님께서 교회를 통해 축복을 주시기 때문이다. 저 오지에서 복음을 전하는 선교사라 할지라도, 집안에서 놀고 있는 백수라 할지라도 예수님의 피에 소속된 교회에 소속되어야 한다는 말이다. 소속된 교회 통해 안식을 누리게 될 때 하나님이 예비하신 축복이 나타나는 것이다. 우리는 예수님을 머리로 두고 한몸이 된 교회이다. 예배를 통해 어떠한 축복을 받는가? 주님과 한몸이 되는 신비한 일을 체험하는 시간이 바로 예배 시간이다. 이때에 모든 치유가 일어나고 모든 것이 회복된다. 한 몸 됨 통해 일어나는 일이다 -- 이것이 안식일의 원리이다. 여기서 놀라운 창조의 역사가 일어난다. 

(2) 창조의 원리 The Principle of Creation

출 Exodus 20:11

막 Mark 2:27

11절 말씀 마지막 보면, "이는 엿새 동안에 나 여호와가 하늘과 땅과 바다와 그 가운데 모든 것을 만들고 일곱째 날에 쉬었음이라 그러므로 나 여호와가 안식일을 복되게 하여 그 날을 거룩하게 하였느니라". 우리가 창조의 축복을 받을 수밖에 없는 것을 말씀을 통해 찾아보아야겠다. 창세기 1장을 보면 하나님이 엿새 동안 창조를 하시고 일곱째 날에 쉬신 것을 볼 수 있다. 하나님의 창조 사역을 보면 첫째 날부터 셋째 날, 또 넷째 날부터 여섯째 날을 구분한 것을 볼 수 있다. 다시 말씀드리면 셋째 날까지는 준비하셨다면 넷째부터 여섯째 날까지 성취하신 것이다. 첫째 날엔 빛을 창조하시고 둘째 날엔 그 빛을 연료로 해와 달과 별을 창조하셨다. 둘째 날은 윗궁창과 아랫궁창을 창조하셨고 다섯째 날에는 윗궁창에는 나르는 새와 물속에 물고기를 지으셨다. 셋째 날에는 모든 채소와 열매를 맺는 것을 만드시고 여섯째 날에는 그것을 먹는 짐승과 사람을 만드셨다. 첫 번째부터 셋째 날을 준비하시고 넷째 날부터 여섯째 날에는 그것을 채우고 성취하신 날인 것이다. 그렇다면 일곱 번째 날은 무엇을 하셨는가? 쉬셨다고 나온다. 결론은 끝났다는 말이다. 첫째 날부터 여섯째 날까지를 완성하는 날이 일곱째 날이라는 의미다. 안식일을 위해 1-6일을 준비하신 것이다. 그날에 하나님께서 복을 주사 거룩하게 하신 것이다. 창조의 최고 결정체가 바로 이것 인 것이다. 창조의 완성과 완전한 결론을 말하는 것이다. 이것이 바로 우리를 위하여 하신 일이라는 말이다. 우리의 안식을 위해서 이렇게 하신 것이다. 예수님께서 막 2:27 말씀하셨다. "또 이르시되 안식일이 사람을 위하여 있는 것이요 사람이 안식일을 위하여 있는 것이 아니니" 안식일이 사람을 위하여 있다고 하셨다. 이 모든 것은 사람을 위하여 창조하신 것이라는 말이다. 안식일은 우리에게 최고 축복을 주시기 위해 창조하신 날이다. 이 모든 축복이 안식일에 드려지는 예배를 통하여 결정되는 것이다. 교회에 나올 때 지치고 다치고 상처받은 영혼을 가지고 나아온다. 예배를 통해, 주님과 한몸이 되며, 신비한 역사를 통해 모든 것이 완전히 해결되고 치유되는 역사를 체험하는 것이다. 수고하고 무거운 짐 진 자들아 다 내게로 오라, 내가 너를 쉬게 하리라 하는 말씀의 결정체가 바로 이 안식일인 것이다. 이 축복을 누리는 여러분 되시기를 축원한다. 완전한 축복을 누려야 한다. 이것은 하나님이 보증하신 축복이다. 그래서 여호와의 뜻을 아는 것이 중요하다. 

3. 여호와의 뜻을 아는 자 Those Who Know the Will of the LORD

(1) 과거를 절대발판으로 Making the past an absolute platform

사 Isaiah 60:10

과거에 모든 문제 발판 삼아야 할 이유다. 사 60:10, "내가 노하여 너를 쳤으나 이제는 나의 은혜로 너를 불쌍히 여겼은즉 이방인들이 네 성벽을 쌓을 것이요 그들의 왕들이 너를 섬길 것이며". 모든 것을 회복하는 비밀이 바로 안식일의 예배를 통해 나타나는 것이다 . 오늘 이 안식일의 축복을 반드시 누리고 응답받는 여러분 되시기를 바란다. 과거의 모든 것은 완전한 발판이 된다. 축복의 발판이 될 줄을 믿는다. 

(2) 미래를 오늘로 Making the future into the present

사 Isaiah 60:3

또 미래를 오늘로 만드시기를 바란다. 사 60:3, "나라들은 네 빛으로, 왕들은 비치는 네 광명으로 나아오리라". 우리가 예배에만 승리해도, 주님께서 주신 축복을 그저 붙잡기만 해도 흑암의 모든 저주와 불신앙은 떠나게 되어 있다. 

(3) 오늘을 미래로 Making the present into the future

사 Isaiah 62:6

오늘을 미래로 만드시기를 바란다. 방법이 무엇인가? 사 62:6, "예루살렘이여 내가 너의 성벽 위에 파수꾼을 세우고 그들로 하여금 주야로 계속 잠잠하지 않게 하였느니라 너희 여호와로 기억하시게 하는 자들아 너희는 쉬지 말며". 여러분에게 주시는 메시지와 언약 붙잡고 기도함을 통해 여러분의 미래가 결정되는 것이다. 정말 큰 응답을 받는 여러분 되시기를 예수님의 이름으로 축원한다. 

Conclusion

눅 Luke 6:5 

말씀을 맺겠다. 눅 6:5 말씀 붙잡으시라, "또 이르시되 인자는 안식일의 주인이니라 하시더라." 주님을 붙잡으시라. 그때 예수 그리스도 말미암아 모든 것이 회복될 줄을 믿는다. 오늘 하루 하나님께서 하늘로부터 예비하신 모든 신령한 복을 마음껏 받아 모든 문제를 해결받는 여러분 되시기를 예수 그리스도 이름으로 축원한다.

8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Introduction

Abraham Lincoln was a man of faith and he said something important. He said that he sincerely hopes that there is no man or woman in America who doesn't truly respect the Bible, church and the Sabbath. Many people And then Lincoln said that if they don’t come to respect these things then we will know that the start of the decline of the state is happening. This is what Lincoln said a few years back but I think this is becoming the reality of today. Many people don’t see the importance of the Sabbath these days and we are seeing the fall of nations. Many nations are falling and this is very concerning. I am not just talking about one specific nation but I am also talking about you as an individual, as a family, and your entire life. If you don’t understand the importance of worship and the Sabbath, then your life will fall down. It is such a blessing to be able to give worship and come to church on Sunday. What determines if you will succeed or fail, this will be determined if you succeed or fail in worship or not. God has given us such an important message today. 

1. Keep the Sabbath

(1) Remember the Sabbath

Verse 8 - For children of God, you need to hold onto this commandment no matter what. We must interpret this verse very wisely and closely. The scripture tells us to remember the Sabbath and this is the only day for the children of God. For other religions, the birth of the religious founder or the day the religion was founded, that religion will remember that day and make a memorial for that day. But in the Bible, for six days you will work but on the Sabbath day, you will rest. Christianity is the only religion that requires this. Why is that? Other religions have no law where you need to rest for one day and on the Sabbath day. This is because there is no law of Creation in other religions. For us as children of God, our Father God is the Creator God so that is why we must keep the Sabbath day. That is why God tells us to remember the Sabbath day. This is so important. 

Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” - God is telling us to remember the day where God created mankind. Remembering the Sabbath day means to remember our Creator God who created us. God told us to keep the Sabbath day holy. God tells us this numerous times in the Old Testament and this is what God is telling His people. To keep it holy means to enjoy and restore the image of God. This basically means to live like children of God and not live like children of Satan. God is telling us to live like holy people and live like children of God just like how He created us with the image of God. We must keep this. To keep means to obey God. We must worship and love God with all of our heart, mind, and soul. We must keep the Sabbath day with this heart and posture. God said that this message is a message of healing. To hold onto and keep the Sabbath day, and give worship to God means that this is all process towards healing. When we give worship to God, give all of our heart to God, and direct our entire heart to God then God will give us true healing. 

(2) Six days you shall labor and do all your work

Verse 9 - Labor means to serve, minister, and cultivate. This means we spend the rest of the six days serving, ministering, and cultivating. We are not living for ourselves the rest of the days of the week but we are serving. Then, what are we serving? We are serving while looking towards the Sabbath day. This means to serve to look towards the life saving movement. In other words, our life purpose is not to live for ourselves and to labor on this earth. Our source of life must come from the grace of God. This means that our life becomes complete through Jesus Christ alone. 

On the day of the Sabbath, Jesus Christ also spoke about it too in Matthew 11:28, 12:5-6 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 12:5-6 Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless? 6 Yet I say to you that in this place there is One greater than the temple.” - There are no problems for us, we must entrust all things to God because Jesus promised us life. This is the actual event that occurred when Jesus was with His disciples. The pharisees saw how 

In Matthew 12, this was when Jesus’ disciples were crossing through a wheat field on the Sabbath day and they got hungry so they ate some of that wheat. When the pharisees saw this, they attacked Jesus and asked why they were working on the Sabbath day instead of resting. At that time, this was how Jesus responded in Matthew 12:5-6. When the Pharisees were misinterpreting the Sabbath day, Jesus responded back saying that even the priest is “working” in the temple on the Sabbath day. Even the priests on the Sabbath day are “working” in the temple to prepare animal sacrifices so Jesus was saying that it was okay. 

Matthew 12:6 - If there is anyone greater than Jesus than if you work on the Sabbath day then it is not a sin. This is so important. The Pharisees were arguing that you should not work on the Sabbath day but Jesus completely turned the argument around. It doesn’t matter what you did or not did on the Sabbath day but what state are you in? Jesus was asking where your state is on the Sabbath day. Jesus was saying that you need to be in Him on the Sabbath day. That is the more important point. It doesn’t matter if you kept the Sabbath or not but are you in God or not during the Sabbath day. We cannot preserve Sabbath day on our own so the correct way to keep it means asking God to help us to keep the Sabbath day holy and to come to God on the Sabbath day. 

2. The Sabbath and the Principle of Creation

(1) 안식의 원리

Verse 10 - Here it speaks about the importance of keeping the Sabbath. God is saying that everyone needs to keep the Sabbath day which means that Sabbath day is not about how an individual should keep it but an entire household and family need to keep it as a whole. The entire household needs to keep the Sabbath. Why did God say it this way? 

Ephesians 1:23 “Which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” - Through the church, we have been given the blessing to keep the Sabbath. God has given great blessings and healing to the church. A church is one body with God. It is so important to become a member and body with the church because God blesses through the church. Even if you are unemployed or whoever you are, you need to become a member and body of the church. When you become a member of the church then you can enjoy the true essence of the Sabbath together. We are one body with God and through worship, what kind of blessings have been given to us? Through worship, we are able to become one body with God and we can enjoy the blessings in worship. All works of healing take place through worship. All restoration takes place through worship. We are becoming one body with God and this is the core of the Sabbath day. The works of creation take place through worship. 

(2) The Principle of Creation

Verse 11 - We are children of God who have no choice but to receive the blessing of creation. In the book of Genesis, we can see how God created the heavens and earth in six days, and rested on the seventh day. Days 1-3 were days when God prepared and days 4-6 were the days when God fulfilled what He prepared. The first few days, God created light and on the fourth day, God created the sun, moon, and the stars. On the second day, God created the upper and lower expansion of the earth. On the fifth day, God created the birds to fly in the sky and fish in the waters. On the third day, God made all of the vegetation, fruits, and trees. On the sixth day, God created animals and mankind to be able to consume the vegetation and fruit of the trees. We can see days 4-6, God fulfilled what He prepared. Then, what about the seventh day, God created which means that God was done. He finished everything of creation on the seventh day so He rested on that day. On the seventh day, God made that day holy and blessed it. God completed creation on that day and made a conclusion. This was because God did it for us so that we could keep the Sabbath day. 

Mark 2:27 “And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.’ ” - The Sabbath day was made for us. The Sabbath day is the greatest day of blessings. All blessings start from the Sabbath day and from worship. When we come to church, there are many people who go to church who are exhausted, scarred, hurt, and wounded. But through worship, we must become one body with God, restored of our original image, and receive true healing. God is telling us to entrust all things to Him and He will give us true rest. We must enjoy these blessings. This is the blessing that God has prepared for us. What is the greatest way to restore all blessings, is it through the Sabbath. We must enjoy and restore the Sabbath so we can restore all things. If we just have success in worship then all darkness has no choice but to flee. Make today your future. 

3. Those Who Know the Will of the LORD

(1) Making the past an absolute platform

Isaiah 60:10 “The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, And their kings shall minister to you; For in My wrath I struck you, But in My favor I have had mercy on you.” - The mystery to restore all things is found within the Sabbath day and worship. May we restore the blessing of the Sabbath day and receive true answers. All of our past will become our platform. They are a platform for blessings. 

(2) Making the future into the present

Isaiah 60:3 “The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.” - If we just succeed in worship and just hold onto God’s blessings then all darkness will flee. Make your today your future. 

(3) Making the present into the future

Isaiah 62:6 “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent.” - Through prayer and holding onto the word of God, your future will be determined. 

Conclusion

Hold onto Luke 6:5 “And He said to them, ‘The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.’ ” - Hold onto Jesus Christ and when we hold onto Jesus Christ, then we will be restored of all things. May we receive everything that Jesus has prepared for us and may we receive the greatest answers.
