언약의 중보자 그리스도(히8:3-6)

서론

새해가 되었다. 새해가 되면 불신자들은 점쟁이나 무당을 찾아가서 물어본다. 올 한해가 어떻게 되겠습니다 하면서 두려운 얼굴을 갖고 물어본다. 이 한 해도 새롭게 뭔가 좋은 소식을 듣기 위해서 찾아가는 것이다. 왜냐하면 항상 사람들은 두려움을 갖고있다. 문제는 교회를 다니는 사람도 점쟁이를 찾아가고 무당을 찾아간다. 교회를 다니고 있음에도 뭔가 불안하니까 당장 해소하기 위해 점쟁이를 찾아가서 올 해는 우리가 어떻게 지내겠습니까 하고 물어본다. 왜 그런가. 그 사람들은 말씀의 인도를 받지 못하기 때문이다. 불신자들이 말씀의 인도를 받지 못하는 것은 당연하지만 교회를 다님에도 말씀 인도를 받지못하면 불신자들과 똑같이 살아간다. 말씀의 인도를 받는 답을 찾지 못하게 되면 불신자와 똑같은 불안한 삶을 살 수 밖에 없다. 그 사람들은 교회를 다녀도 전혀 하나님의 자녀된 축복을 누리지 못하는 삶을 살게된다. 우리는 여기서 다시 한 번 붙잡아야겠다. 하나님 자녀는 틀림없이 다르다. 우리가 항상 먼저 생각해야할 것은 갈 2:20을 잡고 감사하는 삶을 사는 것이다. 저는 이 말씀을 잡고 항상 감사하고 있다.

갈 2:20 내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔나니 그런즉 이제는 내가 사는것이 아니요 오직 내 안에 그리스도께서 사시는 것이라 이제 내가 육체 가운데 사는 것은 나를 사랑하사 나를 위하여 자기 자신을 버리신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음 안에서 사는 것이라

내가 십자가에 못박혀 죽었다. 나의 운명과 사주팔자는 십자가에 못박혀 죽어버린 것이다. 운명에 따라 사는 것이 아니라 하나님 말씀을 따라 산다. 이 인도를 받지 못하게되면 교회를 다녀도 지옥과 같은 고통 가운데 살 수 밖에 없다. 그런데 우리가 하나님의 자녀가 된다면 틀림없이 지옥의 권세에서 빠져나오고 운명과 사주팔자, 가문의 저주에서 빠져나왔다. 그 모든 저주의 삶은 이미 십자가에 못박혀 죽어버렸다. 또 우리가 무서워하는 종의 영을 따라 마귀가 해꼬지해서 어려움을 당하는 것이 아닌가 불안함에 사는 사람이 많다. 교회를 다니면서도 그런 사람들이 있다. 분명한 것은 그렇게 끌려다니는 모든 삶이 십자가에서 완전히 죽어버렸다. 틀림없이 내 안에 있는 그리스도께서 오셔서 나를 인도하고 계신다. 분명한 것은 우리 하나님의 자녀는 과거의 내가 아니라 그리스도 안에서 그리스도와 함께사는 새로운 삶이다. 내 안에 있는 주님께서 나를 인도하시는데 어떻게 인도하시느냐. 말씀을 통해서 매주 인도하고 계시다. 분명한 것은 빌 1:6 말씀이 성취되고 있는 것이다.

빌 1:6 너희 안에서 착한 일을 시작하신 이가 그리스도 예수의 날까지 이루실 줄을 우리는 확신하노라

승리하는 여러분 되시기 바란다. 올 해도 매주 강단을 통해서 선포된 말씀을 통해서 하나님이 여러분의 삶은 완전히 책임져주실 것이다. 오늘도 예배를 통해서 큰 은혜와 힘을 받는 시간 되시기 바란다.

1. 지상 성전의 예배

1) 성막 예배

구약시대는 어떤 예배를 드렸는가. 구약의 대제사장들은 반드시 제물을 가지고와서 예배를 드렸다.

히 8:3 대제사장마다 예물과 제사 드림을 위하여 세운 자니 그러므로 그도 무엇인가 드릴 것이 있어야 할지니라

제물이 필요한 것이다. 왜냐하면 제사장들이 직접 사람들의 죄를 해결할 수 없었다. 죄는 제물에 전가를 시켜서 그 제물을 죽여야만이 해결된다. 창 22:7 말씀에 이삭이 이야기한다.

창 22:7 이삭이 그 아버지 아브라함에게 말하여 이르되 내 아버지여 하니 그가 이르되 내 아들아 내가 여기 있노라 이삭이 이르되 불과 나무는 있거니와 번제할 어린 양은 어디 있나이까

이 사건을 통해서 이삭이 살게된 이유는 하나님이 준비하신 어린양이 있었기 때문이다. 양이 죽어야할 이삭을 대신한 것이다. 이것이 복음의 원리이다. 나는 죄로 인해서 죽어야하는데 내 대신 양이 죽은 것이다. 이게 복음이다. 그 내용을 보게되면 번제죄 같은 경우에는 짐승의 머리에 안수를 한다. 그 안수라는 것은 죄 지은 사람의 죄를 짐승에 전가시키는 것이다. 전가된 짐승을 죽여서 피를 제단에 뿌린다. 그리고 고기, 살은 조각조각을 내서 전부 태워버린다. 그럴 때 내 죄가 깨끗하게 된다. 짐승이 죽지만 사실 내가 죽는 것을 의미한다. 성막시대를 보게되면 원래는 짐승을 잡는데 자기 집에서 길렀던 가축 중 양이나 소나 염소를 제물로 삼게 되어있다. 자기가 아끼고 사랑하고 같이 데리고 다니면서 풀을 먹였던 양을 잡아서 목을 치는 것이다. 그러니까 자기가 제물을 가져와서 안수를 해서 자기가 죽이게 되어있다. 짐승을 죽이면서 얼마나 가슴이 아프겠는가. 예를 들어 말씀드리면 내가 가장 사랑하는 강아지를 내 죄 때문에 죽이는 것이다. 그처럼 사랑하고 아끼는 강아지를 칼로 목을 베어서 태워 죽인다고 하면 정말로 가슴이 아플 것이다. 내 사랑하는 짐승이 내 죄 때문에 죽고있다. 바로 이것이 원리이다. 예수님께서 우리를 위해서 돌아가신 것은 가장 사랑하는 주님이 나를 위해서 돌아가신 것이다. 짐승이 내 죄를 짊어지고 죽게될 때 나는 새로운 삶이 시작되는 것이다.

2) 진정한 예배

오늘 말씀에 그도 뭔가 드릴 것이 있어야할지니라 하고 말하고 있다. 그 라는 것은 예수님을 말하고 있다. 예수님도 제사를 드리는데 뭔가 바칠 제물이 있어야한다는 것이다. 예수님께서 우리 죄를 위해서 돌아가시는데 예수님께서 드릴 제물이 뭐냐는 것이다.

히 9:12 염소와 송아지의 피로 하지 아니하고 오직 자기의 피로 영원한 속죄를 이루사 단번에 성소에 들어가셨느니라

예수님께서는 우리의 죄를 해결하시기 위해서 자기의 몸을 제물로 바쳤다는 말이다. 이 땅에 성막에서 지냈던 어린 양이 예수님 자신이 되신 것이다. 예수님은 우리를 살리기 위해서 자신의 모든 것을 다 바쳐버린 것이다. 이것이 바로 십자가이다.

신 16:16 너의 가운데 모든 남자는 일 년에 세 번 곧 무교절과 칠칠절과 초막절에 네 하나님 여호와께서 택하신 곳에서 여호와를 뵈옵되 빈손으로 여호와를 뵈옵지 말고

무슨 말씀이냐면 우리가 예배드릴 때 빈손으로 드리지 말라는 것이다. 여러분들은 오늘 예배드릴 때 무엇을 가져왔는가. 가장 사랑하는 물질을 가져와서 드렸는가. 중요하다. 그러나 지금 주님께서 원하시는 것은 그 이상이다. 사도바울은 이야기했다.

롬 12:1 그러므로 형제들아 내가 하나님의 모든 자비하심으로 너희를 권하노니 너희 몸을 하나님이 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제물로 드리라 이는 너희가 드릴 영적 예배니라

하나님께서 원하시는 것은 너희 몸을 거룩한 산 제물로 다 드리라는 것이다. 여기서 중요한 말씀이 나타난다. 이것이 바로 너희가 드릴 영적 예배니라. 우리가 영적인 새로운 삶을 살기 위해서는 바로 나 자신을 드리는 것이다. 그러면 나는 죽으라는 말인가. 예수님께서는 나를 위해서 나를 살리기 위해서 목숨을 바치셨다. 산 제물로 드리라는 것은 너의 모든 과거, 육신을 다 버리라는 것이다. 그리고 오직 그리스도만 바라보라는 것이다. 그러면 영원히 새로운 삶을 살게될 것이라는 말이다. 사실 굉장히 큰 축복의 말씀이다. 새로운 힘을 얻는 말씀이 이 말씀에서 시작한다. 우리의 과거가 완전히 죽어야한다. 다 제물로 드려야 새로운 삶을 살게된다. 그러면 영적 예배는 어떻게 드리는가.

2. 영적 예배

1) 영적 예배

히 8:5-6 그들이 섬기는 것은 하늘에 있는 것의 모형과 그림자라 모세가 장막을 지으려 할 때에 지시하심을 얻음과 같으니 이르시되 삼가 모든 것을 산에서 네게 보이던 본을 따라 지으라 하셨느니라 6 그러나 이제 그는 더 아름다운 직분을 얻으셨으니 그는 더 좋은 약속으로 세우신 더 좋은 언약의 중보자시라

모세는 하늘의 성소를 모형으로 삶아 성막을 만들었다. 이 땅에 성막을 만들어서 율법을 정해서 제물을 드려서 죄문제를 해결할 수 있게 규정을 했다. 율법은 하늘의 법을 대신하는 것이고 짐승은 그리스도를 대신하는 것이다. 그러니까 이것은 모형, 그림자에 지나지 않는다. 모형을 갖고 살아가는 것이다. 수많은 양과 짐승, 소를 죽였다. 그런데 6절 말씀에 그러나 이제 그는 더 아름다운 직분을 얻었다. 영원한 대제사장 되신 예수님께서 십자가에서 단번에 드리심으로 모든 죄를 완전히 해결하셨다. 영원히 문제를 해결하신 분께서 하나님 보좌 우편에서 영원히 살아계시다. 우리는 그 분께 예배드리기 때문에 요 4:24의 말씀을 붙잡아야겠다.

요 4:24 하나님은 영이시니 예배하는 자가 영과 진리로 예배할지니라

이제 소, 양, 염소는 필요없다. 영과 진리로, 말씀과 성령으로 예배를 드리라는 것이다. 예수님께서 하나님 보좌 우편에 계시기 때문에 영적 예배를 드리를 것이다. 그는 더 좋은 언약의 중보자시니라. 성령께서 인도하시는 성령 예배가 시작되었다. 그리스도의 십자가를 통해서 성령으로 예배드리고 말씀으로 힘을 받을 수 있는 시대가 시작되었다. 예배를 통해서 성령께서 그리스도의 3직을 행하신다.

2) 좋은 언약의 중보자

요 16:13 그러나 진리의 성령이 오시면 그가 너희를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시리니 그가 스스로 말하지 않고 오직 들은 것을 말하며 장래 일을 너희에게 알리시리라

성령께서 예배를 통해서 우리를 진리로 인도하신다. 말씀을 따라 살아갈 수 있도록 인도하신다. 점쟁이나 무당 말을 따라갈 필요없이 말씀을 따라가면 되는 것이다. 성령께서 하시니까.

요 16:14 그가 내 영광을 나타내리니 내 것을 가지고 너희에게 알리시겠음이라

주님께서 부활하시고 하나님 보좌 우편에 계신 영광을 성령께서 나타내시겠다는 것이다. 내 것을 가지고 알리겠다고 하셨다. 예수님의 이름으로 하나님의 살아계심을 증거해주겠다는 것이다. 그러므로 우리는 예수님의 이름으로 기도하는 것이다. 거기에 하나님의 영광이 드러난다. 성령께서 역사하심을 통해서 드러난다. 뿐만 나리다.

롬 8:26 이와 같이 성령도 우리의 연약함을 도우시나니 우리는 마땅히 기도할 바를 알지 못하나 오직 성령이 말할 수 없는 탄식으로 우리를 위하여 친히 간구하시느니라

우리를 위해서 성령께서 친히 간구하고 계시다. 성령께서 함께하시는 예배라는 것은 완벽한 예배인 것을 알 수 있다. 이 더 좋은 언약의 중보자께서 오셔서 완벽하게 우리를 인도하신다. 우리는 최고의 응답받은 사람들이다. 우리는 나갈 때 말씀 붙잡고 성령 인도를 받게되면 어디에 가도 승리할 수 밖에 없다. 그렇기 때문에 2021년도에 반드시 성취될 언약을 다시 한 번 붙잡으시기 바란다.

3. 2021년에 주신 언약

1) 영적서밋의 축복

여태까지 하나님께서 송구영신 예배를 통해서 많은 응답을 주시고 확신을 주시고 인도해오셨다. 이번에 주신 말씀은 너무나 중요한 말씀이다. 반드시 응답해주시겠다고 약속하신 말씀이다. 이 말씀이 그대로 성취되는 축복이 여러분들에게 임하기를 바란다. 이 말씀이 확실히 성취될 줄 믿고 기도에 들어가시라. 첫번째 성취될 말씀이 영적서밋의 축복의 주시겠다는 약속이다.

행 27:24 바울아 두려워하지 말라 네가 가이사 앞에 서야 하겠고 또 하나님께서 너와 함께 항해하는 자를 다 네게 주셨다 하였으니

하나님께서 어떻게 사도바울에게 이 말씀을 주셨는가. 사도바울이 이 응답을 받게된 원인은 언약 속에 있었기 때문이다. 또 하나님 가이사 앞에 가서 증거할 복음을 갖고있었다. 이 두 개만 잡게되면 우리는 서밋이 된다. 그러면 사도바울이 잡은 절대언약은 무엇인가.

행 1:8 오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라

주님의 최고의 관심은 행 1:8의 성취이다. 세계의 모든 역사는 이 언약의 말씀을 따라 움직이고 있다. 우리 자신도 이 말씀에 따라서 움직이고 있다. 모든 것을 계획하시고 인도하신 것이 이 말씀을 중심으로 되고있다. 이 일을 하기 위해서는 먼저 성령 충만을 받아야한다. 그래서 행 1:4-5에서 하신 말씀을 붙잡아야한다.

행 1:4-5 사도와 함께 모이사 그들에게 분부하여 이르시되 예루살렘을 떠나지 말고 내게서 들은 바 아버지께서 약속하신 것을 기다리라 5 요한은 물로 세례를 베풀었으나 너희는 몇 날이 못되어 성령으로 세례를 받으리라 하셨느니라

이 말씀을 붙잡아야할 이유는 예수님께서 3년 동안이나 데리고 다니면서 말씀을 가르치신 제자들에게 하신 말씀이다. 말씀을 3년 동안을 가르치시고 예루살렘을 떠나지 말고 기다리라고 하셨다. 3년 동안 훈련 받았지만 함부로 나서지 말고 기다리라고 하신다. 왜냐. 아버지께서 약속하신 것이 있으니까 그것을 받고 나가라는 것이다. 그래서 제자들이 그 말씀을 붙잡고 기다렸다. 그랬더니 성령충만의 역사가 나타났다. 성령의 능력을 받고난 다음에 비로소 나가기 시작했다. 그렇다면 사도들과 똑같은 복음을 전하는 여러분들에게도 똑같이 적용이 된다는 말이다. 너희들에게 가장 중요한 것이 성령충만을 받는 것이라는 말이다. 그러면 전도는 저절로 되어질 것이다. 무엇보다도 중요한 것이 영적서밋이다. 영적서밋에서 가장 중요한 핵심이 성령 충만이다. 이것은 안주시는 것이 아니다. 기도하면 반드시 주시겠다고 하셨다. 이것은 우리가 필요한 것이 아니라 하나님의 일을 하시기 위해서 하나님이 필요하신 것이다. 그래서 행 1:8 말씀을 붙잡고 기도하면 하나님께서 주신다.

눅 11:13 너희가 악할지라도 좋은 것을 자식에게 줄 줄 알거든 하물며 너희 하늘 아버지께서 구하는 자에게 성령을 주시지 않겠느냐 하시니라

사람들이 왜 성령충만을 못받는지 아시는가. TV보고 있는데 성령충만 주시지 않는다. 놀러다니는 사람한테 성령충만을 주실 이유가 없다. 내가 언약잡고 복음을 증거하겠습니다 하는 자에게 주신다. 그러다면 내가 언약을 잡았다면 정말로 주시는 것이다. 복음 전도에 전혀 관심이 없다면 주실 이유가 없다.

2) 치유의 축복

두번째는 치유의 축복을 누리시기 바란다. 치유에는 두가지가 있다. 개인 치유가 있다. 개인에게는 여러가지 문제가 올 수 있다. 갑자기 재난이 닥치거나 불치병이 올 수 있고 힘든 일이 생길 수 있다. 사업이 막히고 힘들 수 있다. 그럴 경우에 어떻게 하는가. 그 때 잡는 것이 마 16:16-19이다.

마 16:16-19 시몬 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 주는 그리스도시요 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다 17 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 바요나 시몬아 네가 복이 있도다 이를 네게 알게 한 이는 혈육이 아니요 하늘에 계신 내 아버지시니라 18 또 내가 네게 이르노니 너는 베드로라 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라 19 내가 천국 열쇠를 네게 주리니 네가 땅에서 무엇이든지 매면 하늘에서도 매일 것이요 네가 땅에서 무엇이든지 풀면 하늘에서도 풀리리라 하시고

주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다 이 고백이 되어져야한다. 이 고백을 할 수 있다는 것은 그리스도를 정확히 알고 믿음의 고백으로 할 수 있다면 끝나는 것이다. 문제 해결은 너무나 쉽다. 문제 해결하려고 문제 쫓아다니면 흑암이 갖고 논다. 문제를 갖고 그리스도께 들어가면 주님이 해결하신다. 주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다 고백하는 자에게 세가지 축복을 주셨다. 첫번째는 네 고백 위에 내 교회를 세우겠다는 것이다. 내가 너를 거룩한 백성이 되게 하겠다는 것이다. 비록 불신자라고 하더라도 모든 죄가 용서받고 하나님 자녀가 된다. 그 다음에 음부의 권세가 이기지 못할 것이라고 하셨다. 내가 옛날에는 마귀에게 지고 끌려다녔지만 이제는 음부를 이길 권세가 주어졌다. 흑암의 권세, 사단의 권세가 나를 이길 수가 없다. 그 고백을 하는 순간에 나에게 왕권이 주어지는 것이다. 천국 열쇠를 주시곘다고 하셨다. 천국 열쇠는 자기 자녀에게 주는 것이다. 우리 아들에게 내 키를 줄 수 있다. 하나님께의 아들이 되었기 때문에 키를 주시는 것이다. 반드시 상속자에게 주시는 키가 천국 열쇠이다. 하나님의 자녀가 되면 모든 문제가 끝나는 것이다. 이 축복 누리시기 바란다. 그렇다면 나에게 문제될 것이 없다. 왜냐하면 그 분은 내 그리스도이시기 때문에. 모든 문제를 이미 해결하셨기 때문에. 내가 달라고 하지 않았는데도 자녀에게 주시는 축복이 엄청나기 때문이다. 이것을 붙잡으면 승리할 줄로 믿는다. 어떤 문제가 오더라도 주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들입니다, 나의 그리스도십니다 이 고백이 되어지면 끝난다. 치유 중에 가장 중요한 것이 내 자신의 영적 문제가 해결되고 육신 문제가 해결되어야한다. 이 언약을 잡으면 된다. 그동안 나를 지배했던 음부의 권세가 끝난다.

두번째는 세상치유이다. 주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이십니다 고백하는 자들에게 그리스도의 직분을 주셨다. 믿는 자에게 표적을 주시게 되어있다. 성령께서 역사하시는 것이다.

막 16:17-18 믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며 새 방언을 말하며. 18 뱀을 집어올리며 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 아니하며 병든 사람에게 손을 얹은즉 나으리라 하시더라

사도바울이 뱀에 물렸음에도 털어버리니까 끝났다. 독이 없어져버렸다. 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 않는다. 코로나가 와도 빨리 끝내주신다. 병든 사람에게 손을 얹은 즉 나으리라. 이 권세를 여러분에게 주셨다. 믿는 자들에게는 성령께서 역사하신다. 이미 자녀된 왕권을 주셨기 때문이다. 분명한 것은 내 이름으로 하라는 것이다. 예수님이 그리스도되신 그 이름이다. 모든 문제 해결하신 그 이름으로 기도할 때는 역시 모든 문제를 해결해주신다.

요 20:23 너희가 뉘 죄든지 사하면 사하여질 것이요 뉘 죄든지 그대로 두면 그대로 있으리라 하시니라

우리가 복음을 전하게되면 받아들이는 자는 죄 문제가 해결된다. 그가 영접하게되면 내 안에 계신 그리스도께서 그 안에 영으로 들어가신다. 완전히 새생명이 되는 것이다. 이것이 주님께서 행하신 대제사장의 직분이다. 우리도 이것을 이룰 수 있다. 우리가 예수님을 영접할 때 그리스도의 영이 내 안에 들어왔다. 우리가 복음을 증거하게되면 나에게 있는 그리스도의 영이 그 사람에게 들어간다. 모든 문제가 해결되는 것이다. 이게 세계복음화의 길이다.

마 28:20 내가 너희에게 분부한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라 볼지어다 내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라 하시니라

이 엄청난 사실을 가르치라는 것이다. 살아계심을 가르치라는 것이다. 우리에게 선자자 직분을 허락하신 것이다. 이것이 세상치유의 비밀이다. 우리가 쫓아가서 애쓰고 하는 것이 아니라 정확하게 복음을 증거하면 그들이 살아나는 것이다. 이것은 올 해 하나님께서 주신 말씀으로 꼭 붙잡아야한다. 반드시 구하고 응답 받게되면 이런 역사가 나타날 줄로 믿는다. 그러면 237 복음화의 축복을 누리게될 것이다.

3) 237 복음화 축복

올 해부터는 237 복음화에 앞장설 것이다. 그래서 해외 선교사에게 직접 후원하려고 한다. 갈 수 있다면 선교지에도 우리 교회 성도들이 가보는 기회도 만들어보려고 한다. 또 달라스 내에 있는 237 다민족이 있다. 그 분들을 위해서 시스템을 구축하려고 한다. Gus나 Leo 같은 렘넌트와 Xiao같은 분들이 있는데 이런 분들을 통해서 복음화를 위한 시스템을 구축해나가야겠다. 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 거라면 반드시 해야한다. 하나님의 소원이시다. 응답받으시기 바란다.

결론

요 15:7 너희가 내 안에 거하고 내 말이 너희 안에 거하면 무엇이든지 원하는 대로 구하라 그리하면 이루리라

오늘 주님께서 약속하고 계신다. 너희가 내 안에 거하고 내 말은 너희가 붙잡게되면 반드시 이루시겠다고 하신다. 말씀 붙잡는 자에게 반드시 성취하시는 역사가 나타날 줄로 믿는다. 올 해는 특별히 예배 후의 기도를 다르게 하겠다. 예배 후에 아픈데를 붙잡고 치유하는 기도를 해야할 것이다. 내가 치유 받아야할데, 몸의 연약한 부분에 손을 놓고 기도하시기 바란다. 살아계신 주님께서 우리의 기도를 반드시 들어주실 줄로 믿는다. 아픈데에 손을 대시기 바란다.

“3 For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One also have something to offer. 4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; 5 who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, 'See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.' 6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.”

Introduction

This is a new year. When it is a new year, many non-believers will visit a shaman or a fortune teller, and ask them questions. They would ask what the new year will look like for them because they are so fearful and anxious of their new year. They want to hear good news for their new year so that is why they visit these fortune tellers and shamans. People are always bound by fear and anxiety but the problem is that even believers and church goers are visiting shamans and fortune tellers. Even though they are already attending church, they are still living in fear and anxiety so they want to know their future. Why is that? These people are not being guided by the word of God. Of course it is obvious that non-believers don’t follow the word of God but believers, they are not being guided by the word of God so they have no choice but to live like non-believers. If you cannot find the answer on how to be guided by the word of God then you have no choice but to live an anxious life just like non-believers. They attend church but they live their lives not enjoying their blessings as children of God. We need to hold onto this again that believers and children of God are different. What we must think about is and always give thanksgiving with is Galatians 2:20 (“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”) - I am always thankful when I hold onto this message. I have been crucified with Christ. My old life and self has been completely crucified on the cross and is now dead. I am no longer bound by my fate and destiny but I am now in the hands of God. If you don’t know this truth, then you have no choice but to live a life of hell just like non-believers. If we have become children of God, then we have pulled out from the bondage of hell, curses, and family line curses and problems. Our life of curses has been completely crucified on the cross. Many people are bound by their fears and the fears of the attacks of Satan, and even people who come to church are bound by the same fears. The life that you have been bound by, that is has been completely crucified on the cross. What is absolute is that Jesus Christ came into your life and is guiding your life. What is absolute is that children of God are not living with their old and past self but you are living a new life in Christ. Inside of you, Christ is with you and guiding you constantly with the word of God during the time of worship. What is absolute is that the word of Philippians 1:6 (“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”) is being fulfilled in your life. May you be victorious. This year, through the pulpit worship service, God will take full responsibility over you and your life. May you receive great grace and strength through today’s pulpit message.

1. Worship in the Temple on Earth

1) Worship in the Tabernacle

What kind of worship services did the people in the Old Testament give? Verse 3 - The priests had to bring a sacrifice and gift when they came to give worship. You needed to bring a sacrifice. It was because without a sacrifice, the priests could not forgive the sins of the people. The sins of people had to be moved from the person to the sacrifice in order to help cleanse their sins.

Genesis 22:7 (“But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, 'My father!' And he said, 'Here I am, my son.' Then he said, 'Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?' ”) - Isaac asked Abraham where the sacrifice was. The reason why Isaac was able to live was because of the sacrifice that God prepared on his behalf. The ram died on the behalf of Isaac. This is the origin and principle of the gospel. You had to die but the blood sacrifice died on your behalf. This is the principle of the gospel. If you look at this content of the blood sacrifice, the head of the blood sacrifice was anointed. The anointment means that the person who was anointing was transferring the sins of the person to the blood sacrifice. The blood sacrifice would be killed and their blood would be sprinkled and spread out. Then the meat of the blood sacrifice would be burnt and the sins of the person would be cleansed and forgiven. The blood sacrifice would die but the idea is that you are the one dying. If you look in the Old Testament, they would capture the blood sacrifices and bring either rams, lambs, and other animals that they have raised at their homes and bring them as their blood sacrifices before the high priests. They would bring these animals that they raised all their lives and for your sins, they had to be killed for you. They had to be killed as their blood sacrifices in order to cleanse their sins. Imagine how heart wrenching it would be to kill the animals that you raised. To give you an example, let’s say you have a dog that you raised all your life and you love your pets but you have to kill your dog for your sins. This dog that you love, you have to kill, burn, and take the meat out of it. These animals that you have developed love and care for, you have to kill it because of your sins.

The reason why Jesus Christ died was because He loved and loves you. When the animal is completely killed, then that is when you are able to start a new life. If you look at today’s passage, it says in verse 3 - This is referring to Jesus Christ as the “One”. Jesus Christ also had to give a blood sacrifice and He had to offer a sacrifice as well. In other words, when Jesus Christ died for our sins, what kind of sacrifice did He offer?

2) True worship

That is why it written in Hebrews 9:12 (“He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.”) - In order to solve our sins, Jesus Christ sacrificed and offered His own body. The blood sacrifices that were performed in the Old Testament, this blood sacrifice ended up becoming Jesus Christ, Himself. In order to save us, Jesus offered Himself completely. This is the event of the cross.

Deuteronomy 16:16 (“Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Tabernacles; and they shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed.”) - What this means is that when we give worship, we must give worship services empty-handed. When you came to worship today, what did you bring today with you? What you love the most, did you bring it with you when you came to worship? You need to look at this when you come to worship.

Apostle Paul said in Romans 12:1 (“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”) - What God wants from you is for you to give your body as a living sacrifice when you give worship. This is an important message. This is the spiritual worship that God desires. In order to live a new life and gain new strength, you need to give yourself to God. Does that mean that you have to kill yourself? In order to save you, Jesus Christ sacrificed and offered His life. This means that you need to discard your old self and this is what it means to give your body as a living sacrifice. Give everything that you have to God. When you do this, then you can gain new life. This is a very blessed message. This is a message that gives us new strength. Our old self and our past needs to completely die. When you do this, then you are able to live a new life. Then, what kind of spiritual worship must we give?

2. Spiritual Worship

1) Spiritual worship

Verses 5 - Moses made a tabernacle, established the law, and gave a blood sacrifice to God in order to receive cleansing of their sins. The law represents the law of heaven and the blood sacrifice represents Jesus Christ. It was nothing but it only foreshadowed what would come. It was a role model of worship. They gave so much blood sacrifices.

Verse 6 - Jesus Christ completely finished everything on the cross. He completely and eternally finished our problems, and is sitting at the right hand of the throne of God forever.

As God’s worshippers, we must hold onto John 4:24 (“God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”) - Blood sacrifices are no longer needed anymore. We must worship with our spirit and in truth. Because Jesus Chirst is sitting at the right hand of God, we are able to give spiritual worship. God has prepared a more excellent ministry and a better covenant. We are able to give worship that is led by the Holy Spirit. Through the cross, we have obtained the worship service that is led by the Holy Spirit and we can receive power through the Holy Spirit. Through worship, the triune God is at work.

2) The Mediator of the good covenant

John 16:13 (“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”) - Through worship services, the Holy Spirit will guide us. He will guide us so that we can lead within our lives. There is no need for us to follow the fortune tellers and shamans, we must follow the word of God. Because the Holy Spirit is at work.

John 16:14 (“He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”) - Jesus Christ resurrected and is sitting at the right hand of God, this glory was shown through the Holy Spirit. God’s glory has come upon us. Through Jesus’ name, He showed us that God is truly alive. That is why we pray in the name of Jesus Christ. There is God’s glory within this. Through the Holy Spirit, there is God’s glory shining. This is the great work of the Holy Spirit.

Not only that but in Romans 8:26 (“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”) - For us, the Holy Spirit is interceding for us. The most complete and perfect worship services are worship services that are completely led by the Holy Spirit. The mediator of the good covenant is with us when we give worship. We are the ones who have received the greatest blessings and answers. When we go out with the word and are guided by the Holy Spirit, then we can live the most victorious and successful life. That is why through the new year of 2021, the covenant that God has given to us, may we hold onto it and bring it to fulfillment. Until now, God has given us many answers, guidance, and assurance through the new year’s messages and I think this new year’s message is so important. God promised us that He will fulfill His word through us. May you hold onto this word and may this word become fulfilled in your life. I am holding onto this word with assurance that it will be fulfilled and I am going to continue to hold onto it.

3. Our Covenant for 2021

1) The blessing of the spiritual summit

The first answer that has been given to us is that we will stand as spiritual summits.

Acts 27:24 (“Saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.' ”) - How did God give the Apostle Paul this message? God spoke this message to Paul because He knew that Paul was holding onto the covenant. God knew that Paul held onto the covenant of the gospel. If you are able to hold onto these two things, then you are able to stand as the spiritual summit. What did Paul hold onto?

He held onto Acts 1:8 (“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”) - God’s greatest focus is the fulfillment of the message of Acts 1:8. All works of the world move according to the fulfillment of this message. Then, this means that we must move according to this message as well. All plans and events move according to the message of Acts 1:8. In order to do this, we must receive guidance of the Holy Spirit.

That is why we must absolutely hold onto the message of Acts 1:4-5 (“And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, 'which,' He said, 'you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.' ”) - The reason why we must hold onto this message is because when Jesus Chirst was doing His 3 year ministry on Earth, this was the message that Jesus gave to His disciples. After Jesus taught His disciples for 3 years, He told them to wait in Jerusalem. Jesus told them that they have received training for 3 years but for them not to do anything but to just wait. Why was that? There was something that the Father God promised them so for them to wait and receive that first. That is why the disciples waited and prayed while holding onto this promise. That is why the working of the Holy Spirit took place. After they received the power of the Holy Spirit, they went out. If that is so, the same gospel that Paul proclaimed, this same gospel will also be fulfilled in your life.

What is the most important thing in your life is receiving the filling of the Holy Spirit. When you receive the power of the Holy Spirit, then evangelism will naturally take place in your life. We saw in Remnant Unity Training Center (RUTC) news regarding the spiral summit. What is the most important is for you to stand as the spiritual summit. The greatest assurance for you to stand as a spiritual summit is to receive the filling of the Holy Spirit. When you pray, then God promised that He will absolutely give it to you. This isn’t something that we can’t receive, the Bible absolutely said that if we pray, then we will absolutely be given to us. When you pray with Acts 1:8, then you will receive it.

Luke 11:13 (“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”) - Do you know why people can’t receive the guidance and the filling of the Holy Spirit? God doesn’t give the Holy Spirit to those who just watch tv or go around having fun. There is no need for God to give it to them. Those who hold onto the covenant are the ones God will give the Holy Spirit to. When you live a life completely different and not focused on the gospel, then why would God give it to you?

2) The blessing of healing

There are two types of healing that we must hold onto and receive. First, there is personal healing. There may be problems that come to you such as diseases, a storm, or other problems. People around you may give you a hard time. What do you do in these situations?

During these situations, you must hold onto Matthew 16:16-19 (“Simon Peter answered and said, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' 17 Jesus answered and said to him, 'Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.' ”) - You need to come to the confession of Matthew 16:16 that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. When you make this confession, you are able to know Christ and come to believe that Jesus is the Christ, then that is it. It is so simple to solve your problems. If you try to go around and solve it on your own, then Satan will play around with you but when you take the problems before Christ, then God will solve it.

God will give three gifts to those who confess that Jesus is the Christ. The first blessing is that the church will be built on the rock. This means that God will make you a righteous and holy person of God. You are able to receive forgiveness of your sins. The Gates of Hades cannot overcome you. You used to live bound by Satan but you have the authority and power to overcome Satan now. Satan cannot defeat you. The moment you confess this, you will receive this authority. The keys of heaven and Earth have been given to us. God has given you keys as His children. Because we are children of God, we have been given the keys of heaven and Earth. When we become children of God, all things are over. You possess this key so what can be a problem? You have all the authority of heaven and Earth. Enjoy this blessing. No matter what problem comes it is not a problem anymore. This is because Jesus is your Christ. He is the answer to all of your problems. You didn’t even ask for it but God will give you tremendous blessings as children of God. When you hold onto this then great blessings will come to you. No matter what happens, if you confess that Jesus is the Christ, then that is it. The great starting point with healing is for you to receive personal and spiritual healing. Ma you hold onto this covenant. All of the curses and the Gates of Hades will be overcome.

The second healing is healing of the world. Those who believe, God will show them signs and miracles. This means that the Holy Spirit is at work.

Mark 16:17-18 (“And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”) - When Paul was bit by the snake, he just shook the snake off and he was fine. Even though the poison of the snake entered his body, he was still fine. No matter what poison you drink you will be fine. Even if you get infected with the coronavirus or if you have any disease, you will be fine. You have this this kind of authority. If you believe in this then the Holy Spirit will work. You already possess this authority as children of God. What is important is for you to do it in the name of Jesus Christ. All problems will be solved when you pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

John 20:23 (“If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”) - When you proclaim the gospel, those who accept, their sins will be forgiven. When you accept Christ, then the Spirit of God will enter inside of us and be with us eternally. This is us receiving a new life. This is the work of Jesus christ as the True Priest. This is the same work that we can do. When we accept Christ, the Spirit of God comes inside of us. When you testify of the gospel, the Spirit of God enters those who accept Him. This is how you do world evangelism.

Matthew 28:20 (“Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.”) - We need to teach this great thing. God said that He will do it. Teach what God will do. We have been given the great authority as the prophet. This is the mystery of how to heal people and the world. This is not something you do by chasing something or by trying hard but when you proclaim the word, then healing occurs. This is the message that God has given to us for this new year of 2021 that we must hold on. When we hold onto this then answers will come to us.

3) The blessing of 237-nation evangelization

I have shared this in the new year’s message but we will stand in the forefront of the 237 nation evangelism. That is why we will continue to sponsor overseas missionaries. We will continue to plan but I am praying that we can also attend our own church members to mission trips. Within the Dallas region, we need to pray for the 237 nation movement to take place and for a system to be built for that. We have precious remnants like Leo and Shao, we need to establish a system for them. If God is happy with this, then we must absolutely do it. This is God’s will and desire. Truly receive answers.

Conclusion

Hold onto John 15:7 (“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”) - This is what God has promised us. Answers and fulfillment will come to you when you hold onto the word of God. This new year of 2021, we have a new way of giving worship and prayer now. We will now start to pray for healing of areas in our bodies that are weak. We need to receive personal healing first. When we receive healing, then we can receive healing of areas that are sick in our bodies. Pray aloud. The God who is alive is listening to our prayers. Place your hands on the areas that are sick. Let us pray together.
