“여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하여 이르시되 9 바로가 너희에게 이르기를 너희는 이적을 보이라 하거든 너는 아론에게 말하기를 너의 지팡이를 들어서 바로 앞에 던지라 하라 그것이 뱀이 되리라 10 모세와 아론이 바로에게 가서 여호와께서 명령하신 대로 행하여 아론이 바로와 그의 신하 앞에 지팡이를 던지니 뱀이 된지라 11 바로도 현인들과 마술사들을 부르매 그 애굽 요술사들도 그들의 요술로 그와 같이 행하되 12 각 사람이 지팡이를 던지매 뱀이 되었으나 아론의 지팡이가 그들의 지팡이를 삼키니라 13 그러나 바로의 마음이 완악하여 그들의 말을 듣지 아니하니 여호와의 말씀과 같더라” (출 7:8-13) 

서론 Introduction

히 Hebrews 13:5

제가 이번에 중국 선교에서 아주 큰 열매를 맺은 허드슨 테일러의 간증을 들었다. 특별히 들어온 내용이 있었다. 그는 사역하다 너무 지쳐서 영육간에 심각한 문제가 생겼다. 영적으로 심히 침체가 와서 포기 상태까지 갈수 있는 상황이 왔다. 그런 가운데 이런 성경 구절을 읽고 눈이 띄어졌다. 히브리서 13:5 “돈을 사랑치 말고 있는 바를 족한 줄로 알라 그가 친히 말씀하시기를 내가 과연 너희를 버리지 아니하고 과연 너희를 떠나지 아니하리라 하셨느니라” 말씀이었다. 특별히 너희를 버리지 아니하고 떠나지 않겠다 하는 대목에서 은혜를 받았다. 그 말씀 읽는 순간에 하나님께서 결코 나를 떠나지 않으시는구나 깨달았다. 깨달은것을 기도로 일기에 기록했다. “내가 정신적으로 힘들었을때 주님께서 나를 떠나신줄 알고 고통속에 살았습니다. 그런데 주님은 저를 결코 떠난 적이 없으십니다. 제 인생은 주님이 돌보시는 이상 염려할 것이 전혀 없음을 알았습니다.” 이 말씀이 깨달아지는 순간, 이 한구절 통해 그의 삶이 바뀐것이다. 말씀 하나 잡았는데 그가 생각하는 응답이 달라졌다. 말씀 하나 잡았을뿐인데 삶 뿐만 아니라 응답이 바뀌는 은혜가 우리 삶에도 있기를 원한다. 

1. 하나님의 명령 God's command

(1) 하나님의 언약 God's covenant

출 Exodus 7: 8-9

오늘 말씀 통해 다시 한번 점검 해 보겠다. 8절, “여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하여 이르시되”. 9절, “바로가 너희에게 이르기를 너희는 이적을 보이라 하거든 너는 아론에게 말하기를 너의 지팡이를 들어서 바로 앞에 던지라 하라 그것이 뱀이 되리라”. 여기서 중요한 사실 붙잡아야겠다. 하나님께서는 지금 바로가 모세에게 할 말을 미리 말씀해 주고 계신것이다. 우리 하나님의 자녀가 마땅히 누려야 할 응답이 이것이다. 앞으로 일어 날 일을 미리 모세에게 말씀 하신 사실이다. 이 사실은 모세 뿐만 아니라 지금도 우리에게 동일하게 적용된다. 하나님의 자녀가 교회 나와서 이것을 누리지 못한다? 그것은 출석 신자에 지나지 않는다는것을 알아야한다. 우리가 이 응답 누리지 못한다면 교회 나와도 아무 능력도 힘도 없이 왔다갔다 하기만 한다. 그리고 교회에서 응답 받지 못하니 점쟁이 한테 찾아가게 된다. 성경을 자세히 보시라. 성경은 항상 우리에게 미리 알려주고 계시다는 사실이다. 창3:15 부터 말씀 주셨다. 여자의 후손이 앞으로 뱀의 머리 깰것이다 미리 말씀 주고 시작하신다. 아브라함 부르시고, 너는 모든 민족의 복의 근원 될것이다 미리 말씀 하시고 일하신것이다. 다윗에게 너는 왕이 될 것이다 미리 말씀 하시고 시작 하신것이다. 바울에게는 이방인과 유대인들 전도할 택한 그릇이다 미리 선포 하신것이다. 오늘 말씀에도 모세에게 일어날 일에 대해 미리 말씀 하셨을 뿐만 아니라 그에대한 답 까지 주셨다. 그렇게 바로가 이야기 하면 지팡이를 던져라, 그러면 뱀으로 변할것이다 – 이렇게 구체적으로 말씀 하셨다. 그런데 여기서 중요한것 하나 더 잡아야겠다. 9절 말씀 다시보면, “바로가 너희에게 이르기를 너희는 이적을 보이라 하거든” 여기서 하는 말은 너희를 위하여 기적을 베풀라 하는 의미이다. 무슨 말 이냐면 너희를 위한 신이 있다는 것을 우리에게 증명 하라 이 말이다. 바로는 이런 이야기를 한다는 것은 자기 자신의 우상이 보여줄 능력을 알고 거기에 기대고 있었다는 사실이다. 우상증거자들도 나름 자기가 기대는 힘에 대해 알고 있다는 사실 알아야겠다. 괜히 사람들이 절간에, 무당에 찾아가 주문 외우고 하는게 그냥 하는것이 아니다. 나름대로 거기에 증거가 나타나는 것을 본것이다. 그런데 그들에게 그 증거 보여주고 있는 실체는 눈에 보이지 않는 영적존재이다. 지금 모세는 여호와께서 주신 응답을 가지고 나간것이다. 여러분들은 세상에 어떠한 응답 가지고 나가시는가? 부활 하시고 살아계시고 함께 계신 주님의 응답 가지고 나가서 그들에게 복음 전해야 하는 것이다. 그러면 그런 응답은 어디에서 받는가? 예배 통해, 강단말씀 통해 하나님께서 주시고 계신다. 기도 통해, 살아계신 능력의 역사가 나타난다. 이것을 믿지 않으면 아무리 교회 나와도 소용없다. 하나님께서 주신 언약의 말씀으로 강단말씀 붙들고 기도할때 살아계신 하나님의 능력의 역사가 나타난다. 우리는 살아계시고 부활하신 주님을 믿는것이다. 그분의 말씀 붙잡게 되면 그분이 실질적으로 살아서 역사 하신다는 사실이다. 

(2) 하나님의 계획 God's plan

출 Exodus 7:10, 4:3-4, 38, 창 Genesis 3:15

더 중요한 말씀 10절에 나온다, “모세와 아론이 바로에게 가서 여호와께서 명령하신 대로 행하여 아론이 바로와 그의 신하 앞에 지팡이를 던지니 뱀이 된지라”. 모세와 아론이 바로에게 가서 하나님께서 말씀하신 그대로 행했다고 나와있다. 이 말씀은 실질적으로 바로가 모세에게 그런 질문을 했고 그 앞에 지팡이를 던지니 뱀이 된것이다. 그런데 지팡이가 “뱀”이 되었다는 점에 주목 해야겠다. 모세에게 뱀에 관련해서 기적을 일으키신게 이것으로 세번째다. 출애굽기 4:3-4에 처음으로 지팡이가 살아있는 뱀이 되었다. 그때 모세가 놀라서 피했다. 꼬리를 잡으라 명령 하셔서 잡으니 다시 지팡이가 되었다. 4:30에 또 보면 백성 앞에서 아론을 사용하셔서 다시 뱀이 되게 하신다. 백성들 앞에 하나님이 살아계시고 우리를 구원하기 위해 역사 하신다 하는 복음의 말씀 전하고 뱀으로 변하게 한다. 그것을 보고 이스라엘이 살아계신 하나님을 깨닫고 경배하기 시작했다. 아, 우리 고생은 이제 끝났구나 이제 해방되겠구나 하는 마음에서 한것이다. 중요한 부분은 왜 “뱀”을 사용하셨는가. 코브라로 기록되어있는데 코브라는 이집트 수호의 신중 하나였다. 바로의 왕관을 보면 그 앞에 코브라 형상이 있다. 뱀을계속 사용하신 이유는 바로를 상징하는 이 뱀을 잡음으로 바로를 컨트롤 하실것 이라는 뜻이다. 창세기 3장에 인간을 미혹한 뱀, 이 뱀이 잡힐것 이라는 의미도 있다. 창3:15 통해 알려주신 여자의 후손이 뱀의 머리 상하게 할것 이라는 언약도 알려주신것이다. 애굽에서 고통속에 있는 백성들도 해방 시킬것 이라는 말이다. 

2. 하나님의 응답 God's answer

(1) 마술사들의 기적 The sorcerer's miracle

출 Exodus 7:11-12

딤후 2 Timothy 3:8, 마 Matthew 24:24, 신 Deuteronomy 13:3  

하나님이 이런 메시지를 주시고 계시는중에 11절에 놀라운 일이 나온다, “바로도 현인들과 마술사들을 부르매 그 애굽 요술사들도 그들의 요술로 그와 같이 행하되”. 아론이 지팡이를 던짐으로 뱀이 되는 기적을 목도했다. 바로가 놀라다가 아, 그거 나도 할수 있어 하면서 술사들을 부르는것이다. 그정도 기적은 아무것도 아니다 하는 조롱이 섞인것을 볼수있다. 한명이 아니라 여러명 불렀다. 딤후 3:8 보면, 그때 이적을 펼쳤던 사람들 이름이 나온다, “얀네와 얌브레가 모세를 대적한 것 같이” 이들이 누구인가? 연구에 의하면 애굽의 태양신을 섬겼던 제사장들 이었다. 그렇다면 이사람들이 어떻게 이런 기적 일으켰나 이것이다. 많은 신학자들이 주장하기를 술수, 속임수를 쓴것이지 진짜 변하게 하지는 못했을것이라 한다. 어떻게 하나님도 아닌 그들이 지팡이를 뱀으로 만들겠나, 눈속임일 뿐이다 하는 주장이 많았다. 그런데 본문 보게 되면 “각 사람이 지팡이를 던지매 뱀이 된지라” 속임수가 아니라 뱀이 되었다고 밝히고 있다. 아니, 흑암도 이런 능력을 행할수 있는 힘이 있습니까 의문이 들것이다. 그럴수 없다 라고 굳게 믿는 사람들도 있다. 이렇게 생각하는 것이 오히려 더 위험 할수 있다고 생각든다. 마태복음 24:24 에 기록된 말씀을 보면 알수가 있다, “거짓 그리스도들과 거짓 선지자들이 일어나 큰 표적과 기사를 보여 할 수만 있으면 택하신 자들도 미혹하리라”. 앞으로 말세에 적그리스도 나타나게 되면 그들이 큰 표적과 기사 보일것이다, 실제 능력이 있을것이다 하는 말이다.

(2) 하나님의 응답 God's answer

출 Exodus 7:13  

그러면 왜 이런 표적을 하나님이 허락 하느냐 이 말이다. 어떻게 흑암세력들이 능력을 펼치고 다닐수 있는가? 신 13:3 의 말씀을 보면 알수있다, “너는 그 선지자나 꿈 꾸는 자의 말을 청종하지 말라 이는 너희의 하나님 여호와께서 너희가 마음을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 너희의 하나님 여호와를 사랑하는 여부를 알려 하사 너희를 시험하심이니라”. 하나님의 자녀가, 하나님의 참된 자녀들이 정말 하나님을 사랑하는지 아닌지 보시기 위해 이런 시험을 허락 하셨다 하는 말이다. 네 중심으로 사는것이냐, 세상을 위해서 살아가는것이냐, 아니면 정말 나를 위해 살아가고 있느냐 — 그것을 확인 하시려는 것이다. 우리가 신앙의 방향 잘 잡아야겠다. 왜 그런가. 지금도 세상에서는 이런 미혹의 능력 보이는 일이 일어난다. 하나님 비스무리한 능력들을 펼친다. AI 만 해도 인간의 지능 이상으로 발달해 나가고 있다. 사람들이 할 일을 기계들이 많이 대체 하고 짐승도 복제하고 생명을 만들어내는 일도 하고있다. 하나님의 영역에까지도 도전하는 일이 일어나고있다. 또 세상것으로 인해 사람들에게 행복 주고 평안 주고 성공을 주기까지도 한다. 열심히 살게 되면 부를 얻고 힘도 얻는다. 그런데 여기에 속지 말라고 하나님이 말씀 하시는것이다. 이것은 영원한 것이 아님을 깨닫고 오직 그리스도만 붙잡으라 하시는 것이다. 수많은 사람들이 허상을 바라보고 거기에 넘어가고 있는 현실이다. 그래서 중요한 말씀 13절 붙잡아야겠다, “그러나 바로의 마음이 완악하여 그들의 말을 듣지 아니하니 여호와의 말씀과 같더라”. 바로는 술사들이 던진 지팡이가 뱀이 되는것 보고 자부심을 느꼈는데 아론의 지팡이가 그 뱀들을 다 집어삼키는것을 본것이다. 아마 굉장한 충격을 순간적으로 느끼고 하나님이 자신이 믿는 신들보다 크다는 것을 느꼈을것이다. 그러나, 바로의 마음이 완악했다고 한다. 그들의 말을 결국 듣지 않았다 했다. 하나님의 기적을 보고도 변하지 않은것이다. 마지막 부분이 중요하다, “여호와의 말씀과 같더라”. 여호와가 하신 말씀 그대로 이 일들이 일어났다 하는 부분이다. 바로의 마음이 그렇게 된것도 하나님 손 안에 있었다는 말이다. 바로 멸망의 응답 받고있는 중이다 하는 사실이다. 완악하기 때문에 결국은 더 멸망의 길로 가고 있다는 사실이다. 우리는 멸망의 응답이 아니라 참 응답 받아야겠다. 이번에 핵심메시지에서 아주 중요한 내용 나왔다. 큰 응답 받는 사람들의 특징이 있다. 아무것도 안한거 같은데 큰 응답 받은 사람들이다. 기생 라합은 크게 한 일도 없는데 무려 예수님의 족보에 들어간다. 어떻게 이러한 축복 받은것인가? 저는 기생라합 보다 더 큰 축복 받은 사람이 밧세바라고 생각한다. 믿음의 고백 한 적도 없도 대단한 일 하지도 않았는데 예수님 조상이 되었다. 엄밀히 따져보면 모세랑 아론도 별다른거 한거 없다. 하나님이 명령하신것 따르신 것이 전부이다.  하나님이 전하라 하는 말을 전달 한것 밖에 없다. 그런데 어떻게 이러한 큰 축복들 받았는가. 이것은 하나님의 계획 안에 있었기 때문이다 하나님의 마음과 방향 맞는 자이기 때문이고 하나님 원하시는 방향에 서있는 사람들 이었기 때문에 이 모든 축복 받은것이다. 여러분도 이러한 하나님 축복 속에 계시나. 하나님 원하시는 길과 방향 속에 계시는가? 이렇게 말씀하시니 조금 헷갈립니다 하시면 한마디만 잡으시라. 내가 하나님의 언약속에 있느냐 밖에 있느냐 이 여부만 생각 하시라. 하나님 말씀속에 여러분 인생이 있으신가? 그렇다면 쓰임받을것이다. 성경에 축복받은 모든 인물들 언약속에 있었던것이다. 그리고 그들이 한것은 딱 하나이다, 24 기도속에 있었다.  모세가 한것은 기도밖에 없다. 기도로 하나님과 대화 함으로 하나님의 시간표 속으로 들어간것이다. 너무나 쉬운 이 언약의 축복 꼭 누리시는 여러분 되시기를 바란다.  또 중요한 말씀 했다. “기도 속에 일하라” 일 하면서 기도하지 말고 기도 속에 일 하라고 하셨다. 이 말이 무슨 말인가. 하나님의 언약 속에서 일하라는 말이다. 하나님의 언약속에 기도하고 모든 사건 보라 이 말이다. 그럴때 하나님께서 참응답 여러분에게 보여주실줄을 믿는다. 모든 응답은 내가 언약속에 있느냐 밖에 있느냐 여부에 결정된다. 허드슨 테일러에게도 이런 말씀 주신것이다. 그가 말씀 붙잡으니 인생이 바뀌었다. 말씀안에 응답을 받게 된것이다. 언약 붙잡는 그 순간에 인생의 모든 부분이 바뀌어질줄을 믿는다. 여러분들의 미래가 결정될 줄을 믿는다. 

3. 우리의 24, 25, 영원한 고백 The 24-hour, 25-hour, and eternal  confession

(1) 부족함이 없다 "I shall not want"

시 Psalm 23:1

그러면 우리는 24, 25 의 응답 받아야겠다. 단지 우리가 고백 할 것은 바로 “나는 부족함이 없습니다” 하는 것이다. 시편 23:1 말씀이다, “여호와는 나의 목자시니 내가 부족함이 없으리로다.” 여호와께서 나의 목자 되시기에 부족함이 없다. 여호와가 목자 되시면 틀림없이 부족함 없게 될것이다.  

(2) 늘 인도하신다 "He leads me"

시 Psalm 23:3

시 23:3, “내 영혼을 소생시키시고 자기 이름을 위하여 의의 길로 인도하시는도다” 목자 되신 여호와는 당신의 이름을 위하여 날마다 나를 소생 새키실것이다. 

(3) 여호와의 집에 영원히 거하리로다 I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever

시 Psalm 23:6

세번째, 시 23:6, “내 평생에 선하심과 인자하심이 반드시 나를 따르리니 내가 여호와의 집에 영원히 살리로다”. 여호와의 집에 영원한 보좌의 축복 누리는 여러분 될 줄을 믿는다. 우리가 항상 고백할것은 이것이다. 우리가 언약 안에 있고 그것을 믿는다면 이 모든 축복 반드시 나타날줄 믿는다. 

결론 Conclusion

요 John 20:31

말씀 맺겠다. 요 20:31, “오직 이것을 기록함은 너희로 예수께서 하나님의 아들 그리스도이심을 믿게 하려 함이요 또 너희로 믿고 그 이름을 힘입어 생명을 얻게 하려 함이니라” 왜 언약만 잡으면 다 되느냐 하는 것에 대한 대답이다. 그리스도 안에 모든 답 다 있기 때문에 그러하다. 그리스도로 승리하시는 여러분 되시기를 예수 그리스도 이름으로 축원한다.

8 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, 9 “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.’ ” 10 So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the Lord commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. 11 But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. 12 For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. 13 And Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the Lord had said.

Introduction

I read a testimony of Hudson Taylor who was doing mission work in China. There was some content that I read and during his ministry, he felt so fatigued. And, a huge problem came to him. He felt so physically exhausted and he was on the verge of giving up. But during that period, he started reading the Bible. While reading the Bible, one Bible verse pierced his heart and that verse was Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ ” - The moment he read this Bible verse, he realized that God has never left him and will never leave him. After that realization, he recorded this prayer in his journal. “When I was mentally tired, I felt like God had left me and I was in unbelief. But the Lord never left me. As long as God watches and takes care of me, there is nothing for me to worry about.” The moment Hudson realized this and through this Bible verse, his entire life changed. Taylor just held onto one Bible verse and his life completely changed. This is so true. If you hold onto God’s word, your life will change. This will happen to you, you must hold onto that. Through today’s sermon, we must confirm this. 

1. God's Command

(1) God's covenant

Verses 8-9 - There is something important here we must hold onto. The truth is that God was revealing what the Pharaoh was going to say in advance to Moses. These are the answers that we must enjoy as children of God. God revealed answers that will come in advance to Moses. This truth was not only revealed to Moses but God is also revealing answers in advance to us. When a child of God comes to church and does not enjoy these answers, then it will just pass us by. If we are not able to enjoy these answers when we come to church, then we will not receive answers and we will feel more powerless when we come to church. People say that they receive accurate and more immediate answers from fortune tellers but how come I am not receiving answers at church? Look at the Bible carefully. The Bible always gave us answers in advance. 

For an example, look at Genesis 3:15. God gave the covenant of Genesis 3:15 and said what will happen in advance. God gave Abraham His covenant in advance as well as to David. God told David that he will become king. God also gave an answer in advance to Paul that the gospel will be preached to Gentiles. Not only did God give Moses His word in advance but an answer in advance as well. God told Moses in advance that the rod will turn into a serpent, God gave this answer in advance. 

Verse 9 - Pharaoh commands Moses and Aaron to show him a miracle. This means that Pharaoh wanted proof of God. What is important is that Pharaoh had confidence that he could show miracles through his idols and gods. Even idol worshipers say that they receive answers and miracles from their gods and idols. People don’t go to shamans and fortune tellers for no reason. They go to them for a reason. When you look at them, they see miracles and “answers” from them. But the power behind all of the shamans and fortune tellers, it is Satan that they are unaware of. Moses and Aaron came before Pharaoh with God’s answer and power. When you go out into the world, what answer do you go out with? We must go out into the world with the answer that God is alive and working, and to proclaim this power and power of the gospel to people around us. God gives us this answer and power through the pulpit message and worship. We can experience God’s power through prayer and worship. If we don’t believe in this, then there is no reason for you to go to church. When we hold onto God’s covenant and pulpit message, and pray with it, then God will reveal to us the power that He is alive. What is absolute is that we must hold onto that we believe in the resurrected Jesus Christ. When we hold onto God’s word then God will reveal that He is alive and show us His power. 

(2) God's plan

Verse 10 - Moses and Aaron held onto God’s word and did exactly as God commanded them to do. Pharaoh commanded them to perform a miracle and Moses and Aaron did exactly as God commanded them to do. We must hold onto that God said that Moses’ rod will change into a serpent. This miracle of the rod turning into a serpent arose in the Bible three times. 

This was the first time this miracle arose in Exodus 4:3-4, 28 “And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. 4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail” (and he reached out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand), 28 So Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which He had commanded him.” - When this happened, Moses was taken aback. But when he grabbed the tail of the serpent and the serpent turned back into a rod. Also, the second time was when the rod turned into a serpent through Aaron. To show that God was alive before the Israelites, God performed this miracle with Aaron. When the Israelites saw this miracle, the Israelites started giving worship and praise to God. The Israelites were able to have reassurance that God was with them and God will give them freedom. Why did God keep using a serpent? This serpent was a cobra and in Egypt, cobras were seen as gods. Pharaohs would wear crowns that were made with designs of cobra. This shows that God has complete grasp over the serpent. 

Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.” - This shows the true meaning of the serpent in this Bible verse. Through the offspring of the woman, the head of the serpent will be crushed. Not only did this miracle take place in Egypt through the rod but it also showed that God will free the Israelites from the power of Satan. 

2. God's Answer

(1) The sorcerer's miracle

Verses 11-12 - When Moses threw the rod, the rod turned into a serpent. When Pharaoh saw this, he wasn’t taken aback or amazed at all because he knew that his sorcerers could do the same thing. So he called his sorcerers and magicians to perform miracles before Moses and Aaron. 

2 Timothy 3:8 “Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith.” - These were the names of the magicians and sorcerers. Who were these magicians? They were magicians who were seen as priests who served Egyptians gods. How does a rod turn into a serpent? Many theologians say that this didn’t actually take place and said that there was no way that a rod turned into a serpent. But when we look at today's main Biblical passage, it says that verse 10 that each one of them changed their rod into serpents. Does the power of darkness possess this much power? People say that this is impossible. But you think like this, this can be dangerous. 

Matthew 24:24 “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” - Jesus said this. Even in this age, when the anti-Christ comes forward, they will show great signs and wonders. They will show great power and miracles. Why would God allow all of this? Why does God allow darkness to have power? 

Hold onto Deuteronomy 13:3 “You shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” - A child of God allows these false prophets and miracles of darkness to test if we truly believe in God or not. God wants to test if you truly believe in God or the world. We must hold onto our walk of faith accurately. Even now, the world is showing power and “miracles.” They are showing miracles and power that is very similar to God. When we look at AI, we know that it has advanced so greatly and immensely. The jobs and work that humans were doing, the AI is doing it now. AI is now challenging God and God’s nature. The world is trying to give you empty promises of happiness and success but God is telling us not to be deceived. What is absolute is that none of these things are eternal. What we must hold onto is Christ and Christ alone. The world is lying to you and we are holding onto things that will go away in the end. 

(2) God's answer

Verse 13 - When Pharaoh saw that Moses’ and Aaron’s rod turned into serpent, at first, he was fine with it. And, then his sorcerers turned all of their rods into serpents but when Aaron’s serpent consumed all of his sorcerers’ serpents, he was taken aback. He saw the power of God through this and then Pharaoh’s heart hardened. This means that Pharaoh did not listen or heed the words of Aaron and Moses, and God. He saw the power of God but he chose not to believe in God’s words. Just like the Lord God had said. This is so important. Just as God exactly said to Moses and Aaron, everything happened exactly. This shows that God’s word will absolutely be fulfilled. What Pharaoh will say and was going to say, God knew all of it exactly. Pharaoh was going towards the path of destruction. Because Pharaoh was so stubborn towards his way and path, he was leading himself towards destruction. We received an important message from the headquarter messages. Who will receive the most amazing answers? Rahab didn’t do anything great but she received great answers from God. How was she able to receive great answers from God? I think Bathsheba received greater answers than Rahab. She didn’t do anything but all she did was believe. But she was able to be within the genealogy of Jesus Christ. The same thing with Aaron and Moses, they didn’t really do much. God commanded them to throw the rod and this was a simple task by God. This was all they did. But how were they able to receive such great blessings and answers? It was because they were inside the plan of God. Those who are doing what God commands, then you will receive great blessings and answers. This is so important. Are you where God wants you to be? Are you inside of God’s plan? Are you living a life within the direction of God? Are you within the path that God desires? People may say that they are confused but hold onto one thing. Are you within God’s covenant or not? Are you holding onto God’s word or not? All of the people who received answers in the Bible, they were all holding onto God’s covenant. 

3. The 24-Hour, 25-Hour, and Eternal  Confession

(1) "I shall not want"

They did one thing only, they were inside of prayer 24 hours. All they did was pray. This was all Moses did. Through prayer, we are able to enter into God’s time schedule. This is so simple and easy. Work within prayer and not pray while working. What does this mean? Inside of God’s covenant, do your job and work. Inside of prayer and within God’s covenant, do all things. Then, God will reveal great answers. All answers are determined if you are within God’s covenant or not. Hudson Taylor said that when he held onto God’s word, his life completely changed. He was able to find his answers within the word of God. The moment you hold onto God’s covenant, your life will change. Your future will be determined. 

Then, we must receive the 25 hour answer. What must we confess? We must confess that we are lacking. We must confess of Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” - Is God your shepherd? If He is, then you are not lacking. 

(2) "He leads me"

Psalm 23:3 “He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.” - God who is your shepherd, for His name sake, He will lead you to the path of righteousness. He will work through the power of the Holy Spirit to restore your soul. 

(3) I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever

Psalm 23:6 “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.” - May you receive the power of the heavenly throne through the house of the Lord. Make this confession for the rest of your life. When you hold onto and believe in God’s covenant, then you will understand this. 

Conclusion

John 20:31 “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” - Why is it that everything is possible through Christ? It is because everything is within Christ. All answers are found within Christ. May you have victory in Christ.
